    Rangers 1-0 Dundee United

The angle is very much against United forward Glenn Middleton as he manages to divert a diving header on to the roof of the net from a corner. Goalkeeper Allan McGregor was never in any trouble though.

Moments later, Tony Watt is almost in behind the Rangers defence but Connor Goldson is too quick for him. Then Jamie McGrath drills in a shot that McGregor shovels wide.

A good spell for the Taysiders.

This is all about the captain James Tavernier - he robs it out on the right, and then drives forward. Antonio Colak drives it low in the far corner, after a lovely little pull-back. A great counter attacking goal

  14. Aberdeen 'have a very good squad' - Goodwinpublished at 14:59

    Hibernian v Aberdeen (15:00)

Aberdeen manager Jim Goodwin tells Sportsound: "Leighton Clarkson is a big loss in a game like today where you want to try and calm the game down.

"He is very cool and calm on the ball and we will miss his presence in the middle of the pitch, but, we have a very good squad so I am quite pleased to be able to make the changes that I can.

"Duk gets his first start, too. He's made some incredible impacts off the bench of late and he has earned the right to start up top today."

    Rangers v Dundee United (15:00)

Dundee United interim boss Liam Fox tells Sportsound: "I've been pleased with the response of the players so far, but we need to keep improving.

"We'll need to be at our very best today and if we can do that we give ourselves a chance. Rangers are a very good side and the defeats they've had have been against top sides."

Fox explains Steven Fletcher has a slight issue with his thigh and plays a straight bat to questions about his chances of taking the job on permanently.

    Livingston v Kilmarnock (15:00)

    Jane Lewis
BBC Sport Scotland at the Tony Macaroni Arena

Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes admits it was a “hard decision” to drop Sam Walker with Kane Hemming fit again.

Hemming is back between the sticks against Livingston this afternoon, with Walker on the bench.

"Sam [Walker] has done well for us," said McInnes. "He's had to wait a long time for his opportunity.

"I've got such a high regard for Zach [Hemming] and we signed him to be our number one. It's a harsh decision but Zach did brilliantly last season, he was a big part of us going up."

  19. Johnson 'expects a performance'published at 14:42 British Summer Time 17 September 2022

    Hibernian v Aberdeen (15:00)

Hibernian manager Lee Johnson tells Sportsound: "We expect a performance, we're still waiting for it to click properly.

"It's interesting, we've signed Mykola Kukharevycvh up top and we've had to sling him straight in because we want that orthodox nine that we are looking for.

"With the pace we have got, we have got to carry the threat, so it is up to the midfield to boss the middle of the pitch, for the defenders to do their job extremely well and chip in, in an attacking sense, and the forwards to make something happen."

On Kukharevycvh's signing, he added: "It came from the CIty Group connections that I've got and it was one we had a look at for a few months and, as the window went on, the opportunity became more viable."

Johnson returns to the dugout after missing out against Kilmarnock after surgery to remove his gallbladder. And he noted: "I want to thank all the NHS staff, nurses and doctors who looked after me, I'm back in good shape."
