  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 41 mins

    Hull 0-1 Luton

Another chance for Luton and only Nathan Baxter's stretching sinews deny them a goal.

Hull clocked off on the set-piece which was flung into the box from the left, and Carlton Morris gets across his man to guide it at goal.

Sprawling save denies him a seventh in seven.

James Linington is dealing with the penalty area grapple which continues to run through each set-piece.

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:39 British Summer Time 30 September 2022

    Mansfield 0-0 Hartlepool

Goalless at the break in League Two.

  3. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Hull 0-1 Luton

Luton boss Nathan Jones is a ball of energy on the bench, pacing his technical area like a bloke awaiting a delivery courier on his day off.

Hull's award of a corner won't have helped his anxiety. Thankfully for him, Luton cleared.

  4. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Hull 0-1 Luton

Ryan Woods puts in a tackle that would have caught the eye of Hull FC's rugby league scouts, clinging on to stop a runaway Jordan Clark.

    Foul in midfield.

    Hull clear the set-piece.

  5. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Hull 0-1 Luton

Really liking the Efe Sodje-esque bandana of Amari'i Bell in the Luton side.

Hull keep plugging away. Bell a big part of Luton's repelling of that pressure.

  6. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Hull 0-1 Luton

Hull have really lived dangerously at the back in their pursuit of a passing style.

Keeper Nathan Baxter did a bit of Rene Higuita faffing about in his penalty area, and just about foxed his man to bring it clear for the Tigers.

Will it come back to haunt him, as it did Higuita at Italia '90?

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 28 mins

    Hull 0-1 Luton

Luton striker Elijah Adebayo has talked and acted his way into a yellow card.

    Frustration showing.

  8. Postpublished at 20:28 British Summer Time 30 September 2022

    Mansfield 0-0 Hartlepool

Still goalless in League Two by the way.

  9. Postpublished at 27 mins

    Hull 0-1 Luton

Hull get a throw down the left and Callum Elder steals about 20 yards.

It doesn't help him much as the ball comes straight back.

Oscar Estupinan then leaves a silly nudge in on a Luton player in midfield and coughs up a free-kick.

That's not what they pay him for, to paraphrase Brian Clough.

Ozan Tufan seeks a pass in behind after some neat build-up but it's turned behind by Luton. Corner to Hull.

Luton clear. The set-pieces could be better.

More promise though for Andy Dawson. They're taking the game to the Hatters.

    Hull 0-1 Luton

Not really mentioned Oscar Estupinan yet. He just touched the ball, but that was in midfield for Hull, and a pass from there back into his centre-halves.

Ozan Tufan and Dimitrios Pelkas are trying to make things happen, but Luton are well drilled.

  12. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21 mins

    Hull 0-1 Luton

What a thumping strike from Hull's Regan Slater which leaves the crossbar wobbling.

Hits it from 30 yards out, it nicks off a Luton player and thuds into the woodwork.

    Bounces down and out. Unlucky.

Buoyed by that, he has another dig a minute later but this one is more 'Own Goals and Gaffes' than 'Oh My Word'.

  13. CLOSE!published at 18 mins

    Hull 0-1 Luton

Hull get opened up and Luton should be 2-0 up here.

Ball up was held-up nicely and threaded into the onrushing James Bree who just breezed past his marker and drilled in a low cross, which Carlton Morris arced tantalisingly over the bar.

Close. Nathan Baxter was stood still.

  14. Postpublished at 16 mins

    Hull 0-1 Luton

Chance for Hull, who have swamped the Luton box in the past two or three minutes with patient build-up.

After a Lewie Coyle cross sent deep was recycled on the opposite flank by Callum Elder, a cut-back to Ryan Longman on the edge of the box saw his shot curl just over.

It's a stony-faced Acun Ilicali up in the gods at Hull watching his team so far, although he will hopefully have appreciated the character his side have shown since they went behind.

The fans are sticking with them too, they've been vocal throughout the opening quarter of an hour.

  16. Postpublished at 12 mins

    Hull 0-1 Luton

Amari'i Bell gives away with a free-kick in the Luton half with an aggressive challenge, and Hull drill a flat, diagonal into the box.

Dimitrios Pelkas' delivery is glanced behind by the Luton defence. Needed to make it as Jacob Greaves was arriving back-post to power it in.

  17. Postpublished at 11 mins

    Hull 0-1 Luton

    Another corner for Luton.

However, referee James Linington has stopped the play to demand some jewellery from Carlton Morris. He's confiscated it for now on safety reasons.

The corner is eventually swung in deep, and Dan Potts meets it with the header, but it's an easy save for Nathan Baxter.

  18. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Hull 0-1 Luton

Hull have responded well, attacking brightly to put Luton on the back-foot.

Lewie Coyle bombs forward, exchanges a one-two and then strikes a low, skiddy shot which is easily saved by Ethan Horvath.

  19. goal

GOAL: Hull 0-1 Lutonpublished at 7 mins

    Alfie Jones own goal

    Luton celebrateImage source, Getty Images

Luton go in front and it's a scruffy end to a superb effort as Alfie Jones turns into his own net.

It was a bobbling corner from Henri Lansbury from the right, which Elijah Adebayo arcs his run to meet on the half-volley, and raps ferociously onto the crossbar.

The ball bounces down onto the unfortunate Jones, who can only rebound it over the line.

He beats the ground in frustration, and it's a disastrous start.

  20. Postpublished at 5 mins

    Hull 0-0 Luton

Lively and open start so far, ball whizzing about between the two penalty areas at a decent pace.

It will take someone to get the ball down and create.

Luton almost did so, after neat interplay in midfield, but Allan Campbell's throughball to Elijah Adebayo was overhit.

Then Luton give away a foul in their own half, as Lewie Coyle powered forward.
