That first win for Mark Fotheringham as Huddersfield boss moves the Terriers to 11 points.

They remain in 23rd place, behind West Brom on goal difference, but are now only two points away from climbing out of the relegation zone.

Hull remain 20th, three points above the bottom three, but with six defeats in their past seven Championship games now.

I'm looking at the players coming off and they need help and direction.

They look like a team of individuals. They've given it their all but they've done it in their own little ways rather than collectively.

Huddersfield were not the best but they've got that bit of confidence now.

If they'd gone in at 1-1, Hull might have gone on and got the three points.

I don't think it's the right time for Andy Dawson to take the job, I think they need someone fresh to come in.

I look at the quality of the players and I don't think many will get into other Championship teams.

It's worrying. It looks like Hull could be a relegation side.

They are down there and the form says so.

All over and Huddersfield take the points.

A game of precious little quality - not that the Terriers will mind too much.

Mark Fotheringham has won his first home game in charge and now has four points from his first three games, and a welcome clean sheet.

Precious little threat from Hull as the clock ticks down.

Huddersfield are seeing this out with relative ease.

Huddersfield have the ball exactly where they want it - down the Hull end of the field.

They win a corner and play keep-ball.

The answer is six minutes between Mark Fotheringham and victory in his first home game as Huddersfield boss.

More changes. They ruin the flow of the game, don't they?

Anyway, Ryan Longman, who had that great chance at the end of the first half, is off for Hull and Tyler Smith comes on.

There's a change for Huddersfield too as Danny Ward is replaced by Charles Ondo.

Oscar Estupinan tries to latch on to a searching long ball, but Lee Nicholls races from his goal to push the ball away from the striker and the chance is gone.

Connor Mahoney has only been on the pitch for four minutes but he's already in the book for tugging over Cyrus Christie.

That's six yellow cards in the second half now - three for each side.

Better from Hull. Greg Docherty drives forwards and sees his fierce shot from 25 yards palmed over the bar by Lee Nicholls.

That's only Hull's second shot on target.

From the resulting corner Lewie Coyle slices well over the bar from the edge of the box. Cue cheers from the home fans.

More changes for Huddersfield as Oliver Turton and Josh Ruffels come on for Ben Jackson and Duane Holmes.

Huddersfield's Sorba Thomas goes into the book for a late challenge on Lewie Coyle.

That looked like revenge for a strong, sliding challenge by Coyle on the Terriers winger a few minutes earlier that went unpunished.

The eight-goal striker is only 12 yards out but balloons his effort over the bar, like so many of Hull's shots this afternoon.
