  1. Can Cardiff find a response?published at 47 mins

    Swansea 1-0 Cardiff

The only disappointment for Swansea in that first half was that they did not score more than one goal.

They could have been out of sight, yet the fact is that Cardiff's 10 men are still in this contest.

Having been done no favours by Callum Robinson's early dismissal, the Bluebirds had to hang on in there in that first period.

Now they must conjure a response.

With Swansea and Watford both winning their respective derbies at half-time, here's how the Championship table looks as things stand.

Swansea are up to fourth, Watford are into the top 10 and Luton down to ninth.

As for Cardiff? They're staying 20th for now, two points above the relegation zone but only five adrift of Watford.

I feel sorry for the Cardiff players, I feel sorry for the manager but since going down to 10 men they've actually done alright, they've kept a good defensive shape and they've shown one or two moments going forward.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 12:52 British Summer Time 23 October 2022

    Swansea 1-0 Cardiff

    There we are.

All Swansea after Callum Robinson's stupid red card and Cedric Kipre got away with the most blatant handball you could ever see.

Swansea lead through Ollie Cooper's goal and will feel they should have more.

Cardiff fans will be dreading the second half.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 23 October 2022

    Watford 2-0 Luton

The referee blows for half-time and Slaven Bilic will go in to the dressing room delighted by what he's seen.

Keinan Davis's third-minute goal gave his side the dream start as Watford dominated from start to finish.

Davis was lively throughout and forced two good saves from Luton goalkeeper Ethan Horvath as the Hornets looked to double their lead.

And on 45 minutes William Troost-Ekong turned home to give the home side some breathing room heading into the second half.

Ollie Cooper completely misses his shot! He clips the ball and it goes away from goal.

    That was another big chance.

  11. CLOSE!published at 45 mins

    Swansea 1-0 Cardiff

Very comfortable possession for Swansea now.

Another decent chance for Michael Obafemi, but he turns Joel Latibeaudiere's cross wide.

Two good chances for Obafemi today.

Swansea could be out of sight.

  12. goal

GOAL: Watford 2-0 Lutonpublished at 12:47 British Summer Time 23 October 2022

    William Troost-Ekong (45 min)

Watford started the half perfectly and they've ended it brilliantly, too.

Joao Pedro swings the ball into the box following a corner and Sonny Bradley fails to deal with it and William Troost-Ekong can't miss, he taps it home from right in front of the goal.

Four minutes added on in the first half and it's all Watford at the moment, Luton need half-time to regroup and go again in 15 minutes.

There's not much else Cardiff can do when they are down to 10 men, they can't really go away from this game plan they've just got to try and keep themselves in the game.

  14. Cooper haunts Cardiffpublished at 41 mins

Well, well, well. Ollie Cooper's father Kevin played for Cardiff.

As a result the younger Cooper grew up near Cardiff, and most of his mates are Bluebirds fans.

He had numerous failed trials at Cardiff before joining Swansea a little over a decade ago.

And in his first appearance in a senior south Wales derby, Cooper scores the opening goal - and his dad is here to see it.

What a finish by Ollie Cooper.

And then out of nowhere a big chance for Luton.

Luke Freeman plays in a deep cross and Elijah Adebayo rises high to meet it with Daniel Bachmann unable to get there.

The ball loops up and over the crossbar and lands on the top of the goal.

    Let-off for Watford.

    Massive controversy.

Matthew Sorinola crosses and Cedric Kipre literally punches the ball away.

    That's a blatant penalty.

Cardiff have got away with one there.

    Darren Bond couldn't see it.
