  1. More uncertainty for Coventrypublished at 14:40 British Summer Time 29 October 2022

    Coventry v Blackpool (15:00 BST)

Confirming the venue for a game a mere 48 hours in advance doesn't exactly suggest an air of stability.

Sadly, it's another sign of the trouble Coventry are experiencing with the Coventry Building Society Arena.

But on the field, things are looking up for the Sky Blues.

They'd won three straight games before being held to a draw by Rotherham in midweek.

And they will fancy their chances against Blackpool who are muddling away 18th in the table but did whack Preston 4-2 last Saturday.

  2. Burnley look to extend leadpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 29 October 2022

With QPR fluffing their lines last night, it gives Burnley the chance to move further clear at the top of the Championship.

Their two results in the past week were especially encouraging, managing to win when twice it seemed they were likely to drop points.

First they rallied from two down at Sunderland last Saturday.

Then in midweek, they found a late goal to get past Norwich.

Reading enjoyed a smart start to the season before slipping badly with three straight defeats.

That run was brought to an end with victory over Bristol City last Saturday.

Can Paul Ince's side cause some problems at Turf Moor today?

Carlos Corberan's start to life as West Brom boss begins with a real whimper. A reality check for the Spaniard.

    West Brom 0-2 Sheff Utd

A great ball across from John Swift and fellow sub Brandon Thomas-Asante can't get the necessary touch.

Then from another attack, Thomas-Asante can't convert another chance from barely two yards out as Anel Ahmedhodzic gets on the line to block.

  8. Baggies could fall to bottompublished at 14:17 British Summer Time 29 October 2022

    West Brom 0-2 Sheff Utd

If this result stays the same, Sheffield United will remain fourth ahead of the 15:00 BST games, but they will be only one point behind QPR, who lost at Birmingham last night.

If Huddersfield beat Millwall at the John Smith's Stadium, then West Brom will be bottom of the Championship this evening.

For Sheffield United, Enda Stevens is back from injury to replace Chris Basham.

And there is a change at the back as Jack Robinson replaces George Baldock.

  14. Postpublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 29 October 2022

    West Brom 0-2 Sheff Utd

Good effort from John Swift as he takes aim from 20 yards. He gets his shot up and over the defence but he is narrowly wide of the top corner.

This second period has been better from West Brom, but without really threatening a comeback.

  15. Postpublished at 13:58 British Summer Time 29 October 2022

    West Brom 0-2 Sheff Utd

Matt Phillips gets down the line and whizzes over a terrific low ball but Karlan Grant can't make contact and Sheffield United clear the danger.

That was a bit more like it with 20 minutes to go.

    West Brom 0-2 Sheff Utd

Jayson Molumby has a go from 25 yards and the substitute whistles one not far wide. Adam Davies was sufficiently worried enough to launch into a full length dive.

Can the Baggies up the tempo and build up a late head of steam?

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:54 British Summer Time 29 October 2022

    West Brom 0-2 Sheff Utd

The first shuffle of the pack for the visitors as striker Rhian Brewster comes on for midfielder John Fleck.

That feels quite bold from Paul Heckingbottom with his side already two goals up.

  20. Postpublished at 13:49 British Summer Time 29 October 2022

    West Brom 0-2 Sheff Utd

More good play from Iliman Ndiaye - he has looked a cut above today - as he slips a two-yard pass into Tommy Doyle's path and the on-loan Manchester City midfielder hits a rasping drive just over the bar from 20 yards.
