    "A mistake is a mistake," says Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou when pressed further on Joe Hart's role in gifting Leipzig their second goal. "It's not about that. It's about what happened before that. We kept passing it back to him for no reason. You're doing what you think is safe but that's not really who we are.

    "Once we got level we almost wanted to settle for that. I could see it coming. If it wasn't Joe making a mistake, it would have been somebody else."

    "We know when we're aggressive and play our football, we can cause anyone problems. When we're not, it's going to be very hard for us to be successful."

    Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou tells BT Sport: "I'm disappointed in the defeat. I thought we were well in the game. First half, even though we were a goal down, I thought we created good chances. After we equalised, we went into our shells a bit. Our passing became negative.

    "I'm really disappointed with the second goal. It changed the course of the game... It was self-inflicted and nothing to do with the nature of the game. We almost invited them to get on top of us and, when you give them a second goal away from home, it make it a difficult task."

  12. McGregor injury 'doesn't look good'

    Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou is asked about Callum McGregor's first-half injury.

    He tells BT Sport: "It doesn't look good, but we'll wait and see what the doctors say."

    The Celtic skipper was hurt when his attempt at a shot was intercepted, leading to the first goal, and he appeared to do more damage to his knee as he raced back to try and retrieve the situation.

    "It was a good game, with two teams playing good football. We came unstuck more than they did.

    "Sometimes it's going to hurt us but ultimately we proved we could get through the press and gave ourselves some good opportunities to score goals.

    "We've got two big games at home in a row. If we play to our potential, we believe that we can win them and then it will look different."

    It's not all doom and gloom for Celtic since they have home games against RB Leipzig and Shakhtar Donetsk to come, along with a trip to the Santiago Bernabeu.

    The return with Leipzig is next Tuesday, so there's not much time to work on what went wrong this evening.
