  1. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Inverness CT 0-0 Partick Thistle

Inverness are yet to make their advantage count as Partick continue to defend resolutely when needed.

The home side have only managed 12 goals in eight league games so far this campaign, the lowest of the top half. They do have the Scottish Championship's best defensive record though.

    Goals are needed now, however.

Cameron Harper curls a shot towards goal that Partick keeper David Mitchell palms wide.

The goalkeeper then claims the resulting corner with ease too.

Thumbs up for Inverness winning at home

Thumbs down for a 10-man Partick win

None of that drawing nonsense here...

  7. HALF-TIME Inverness CT 0-0 Partick Thistlepublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 7 October 2022

Plenty of action, a red card, and some decent chances but it remains goalless in Inverness.

The home side have probably edged it in the first 45 and probably fancy their chances after the interval now that they'll be facing 10 men.

Steven Lawless was booked in amidst the drama there too for dissent.

All we need now is a goal before half time.

Turner gives the referee a sympathetic look as if to say 'I didn't mean it' but it's too late at that point

  10. RED CARD Kyle Turnerpublished at 39 mins

    Partick Thistle

Turner goes in for a 50/50 with his foot turned upwards, showing his studs.

There didn't seem to be much malice behind it but the referee sticks by the rules and shows him a straight red.

Just how big a bearing could this have?

  11. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Inverness CT 0-0 Partick Thistle

Daniel Mackay is at it again.

This time he twists and turns away from his man in the middle of the park, gets his head up, and sends Billy Mckay towards goal.

Mackay's dinked shot ends up flying slightly too high over the bar in the end though.

  12. CLOSE!published at 33 mins

    Inverness CT 0-0 Partick Thistle

    Some goalmouth action!

Partick don't deal with a ball into their box and Robbie Deas gets a header towards goal.

Aaron Muirhead was alert on the line to stick out a leg and thump it clear as he keeps the score goalless.

Inverness get up the pitch well through Daniel Mackay who drives into the box.

His right-footed shot however is deflected wide and the resulting corner is dealt with by Partick Thistle

    Inverness CT 0-0 Partick Thistle

Both sides have now enjoyed decent spells in the game but we're yet to have our first big chance of the evening.

The home side's Steven Boyd brings down Harry Milne, giving away a freekick in a decent position.

Partick players shout for a penalty after the free kick is sent into the box and Ross Docherty is brought down, but the ref isn't interested.

Jack McMillan is the first to be shown a yellow card as he fouls Daniel Mackay.

Perhaps a tad harsh to be shown a yellow for that.

  16. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Inverness CT 0-0 Partick Thistle

Roddy MacGregor is involved again as he glides past a few Partick bodies on his way into the final third.

He's nudged over and wins a free kick in a promising position, but Cameron Harper sends it high over the bar.

  17. Postpublished at 12 mins

    Inverness CT 0-0 Partick Thistle

Roddy MacGregor slips in Billy Mckay with a curving through ball, but the latter fails to control the knee-high pass as it trickles out for a goal kick.

That was the home side's first foray into the Partick Thistle box

  18. Postpublished at 7 mins

    Inverness CT 0-0 Partick Thistle

Brian Graham fails to get an effective enough connection on the end of a Harry Milne cross as his effort curls wide of the post.

Partick are beginning to show some signs of attacking intent.

  19. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Inverness CT 0-0 Partick Thistle

Scott Tiffoney bursts in behind but the flag goes up, earlier than we're now accustomed to, as he's a fair bit offside.

A lot of this one has been played in the middle of the park so far.

  20. KICK-OFFpublished at 1 mins

    Inverness CT 0-0 Partick Thistle

A peep from the referee Scott Lambie's whistle and the battle of the Thistles underway.

This is Lambie's first Scottish Championship match as a ref.
