    Daichi Kamada

    Yikes.

It's a mess at the back for Spurs and Frankfurt take advantage.

Cristian Romero plays a risky ball across the box for Eric Dier, whose touch is terrible. Hugo Lloris is called into action to punch away a pass along the ground but Sebastian Rode unselfishly squares it for Daichi Kamada to slot into an empty net.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 12 mins

    Tottenham Hotspur 0-0 Eintracht Frankfurt

Spurs defender Eric Dier is the first player in the book tonight as he brings down Kolo Muani. No real complaints.

Porto's Diogo Costa is the first goalkeeper to assist a Champions League goal since Bayern Munich's Manuel Neuer for Robert Lewandowski last November.

    Tottenham Hotspur 0-0 Eintracht Frankfurt

Spurs right-back Emerson Royal slams the turf as he fails to con the referee. He goes in between two defenders and throws himself down despite the absence of a foul.

  6. Porto take the leadpublished at 20:10 British Summer Time 12 October 2022

    Bayer Leverkusen 0-1 Porto

Porto have taken a sixth-minute lead away at Bayer Leverkusen and it's a lovely goal. It's a long ball from goalkeeper Diogo Costa but Wenderson Galeno has so much to do.

Close to the left flank, his first touch is excellent, he then sprints away from the home defence and finishes past Lukas Hradrecky.

Yes, confirmed that was given as a Frankfurt free-kick because - as we all know - you can barely breathe on a goalkeeper these days.

    Tottenham Hotspur 0-0 Eintracht Frankfurt

Spurs go so close to an opener. Ryan Sessegnon hooks a cross in from very close to the byeline and Frankfurt keeper Kevin Trapp misses it before Richarlison leaps over him and heads it just wide of the empty net.

The referee blows the whistle so I guess it wouldn't have counted but it wasn't a foul really.

Half-chance for the German visitors but Daichi Kamada can't quite reach a cross properly at the back post after Ryan Sessegnon had lost the ball.

Eintracht Frankfurt are eighth in the 18-team German Bundesliga and just behind Spurs on goal difference in this group.

They finished in the bottom half last season but qualified for the Champions League thanks to their Europa League final win on penalties over Rangers.

Barcelona v Inter Milan (20:00 BST)

When the Champions League draw was made, group C was the only one to contain three of the Euro Club Index's, external top-10 clubs. Bayern are currently ranked fourth, Barcelona sixth and Inter are 10th. The matches between them were always going to be critical in deciding which of the trio will not go through to the last 16.

With Barcelona losing to Inter and Bayern so far, Barcelona's chance of reaching the knockout phase has dropped from 64% pre-tournament to 39% now. Victory for the Catalan club this evening will put their chance roughly back to where it was and they will again be second favourites behind Bayern to go through.

One consolation for whichever team misses out. They will be one of the top two favourites to win the Europa League, along with current favourites Arsenal.

Tottenham are winless in their past five matches against German sides in the Champions League (D1 L4), after four victories in a row before that - all against Borussia Dortmund between 2017 and 2019.

I would make Spurs favourites for tonight, even though they haven't yet hit their heights.

They had the better chances last week but Son Heung-min and Harry Kane didn't take their chances.

It's in their hands because the next two games are here at home too.
