It was fantastic pressing play from Will Keane, he followed his man across the pitch and nicked the ball in front of goal.

His shot was saved and Broadhead had a tap in.

It's nothing less that Wigan deserve in this game.

    Nathan Broadhead

    Finally, a goal!

Tyler Morton won't want to watch this again. Will Keane dispossesses him on the edge of the Blackburn box.

He then runs in and tries to dink an effort over Thomas Kaminski who palms into the path of Nathan Broadhead who strikes home on the rebound.

Blackburn's travelling support are certainly entertained.

There's much more of an atmosphere now than there was just before half-time, put it that way.

Helps that there's some decent entertainment on the pitch!

Harry Pickering delivers a defence-splitting low ball into the path of Ben Brereton Diaz.

But the Blackburn man's follow-up ball inside the box flies into space.

Perfect start to the second half for Peterborough, who have extended their lead over Forest Green to 3-1 thanks to Ricky Jade-Jones, who races on to a flick by Jonson Clarke-Harris and slots home.

And it's all over in the early kick-off in the Papa John's Trophy where Barnsley have won 4-2 at Doncaster to book their place in the knockout stages.

Josh Martin and Fabio Jelo both scored twice for the Tykes, with George Miller grabbing a second-half brace for Rovers.

Not a great watch. Sloppy in large parts. Ball not sticking in the final third. Need to up the intensity after the break.

It's half-time in our games in League One and here are the headlines:

    • Jonson Clarke-Harris' acrobatic volley sees Peterborough lead Forest Green 2-1 at the break after Josh March had cancelled out Nathan Thompson's opener for the Posh.
    • Charlton also lead 2-1 against Exeter, who pull one back late in the first half through Jay Stansfield's long-range strike.
    • It's goalless between two of the early-season strugglers MK Dons and Bristol Rovers.

Meanwhile, in the Papa John's Trophy, Gillingham and Colchester are all square at 1-1, while Doncaster have pulled one back against Barnsley, but trail 4-1 with time running out.

Barnsley and Colchester are both set to qualify from their pools as it stands.

For the majority of the first half Wigan were the better team and looked more dangerous.

The final pass is missing and come of the crosses have been aimless but I will think they will be pretty pleased with the way they have started the game.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 11 October 2022

    Wigan 0-0 Blackburn

Chances at either end but not exactly the most entertaining half of football I've ever seen.

We'll be back for some more of this in about 15 minutes' time.

I'm putting the kettle on. Don't worry, I'll get the biscuits.

  17. Postpublished at 45 mins

    One minute added on.

One minute to put up with this half of football would be one way of looking at this.

  18. Postpublished at 44 mins

    Wigan 0-0 Blackburn

Jason Kerr puts a last-ditch tackle in to stop Sammie Szmodics getting on the end of a low ball into the Wigan box from George Hirst.

Blackburn are finishing this half better than Wigan are.

  19. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Wigan 0-0 Blackburn

Ben Brereton Diaz is flagged offside as he starts his run a bit too quickly from Tyler Morton's ball down the middle.

This has not been a great half of football, if I'm being honest.

There's a bit of anxiety that Wigan have played good enough stuff to be on the scoresheet.

But there will be some clearer-cut chances for them if they keep playing the way they are.
