The conditions are obviously very wet. But a comfortable first half for Arsenal who started the game with real intensity. Both in attack and in defence. They are pressurising every ball to win it back.

I think Leicester couldn't cope with that. They couldn't find any rhythm and couldn't secure a ball for long enough to release some off the pressure.

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:52 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2022

    Liverpool 0-0 Aston Villa

A very strong end to the half for Liverpool but that one break by Alisha Lehmann almost caught them out. Villa should be 1-0 up and Lehmann has her head bowed as she heads down the tunnel at half-time. Liverpool have had more chances, though Villa have been dangerous when they have got in behind. An intriguing game at Prenton Park. Could go either way!

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:52 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2022

    Reading 0-0 Man City

The free kick was the last action of the half. Lauren Hemp and Bunny Shaw have linked up on numerous occasions but no goals to show for it.

Reading have done well to contain Man City and will be pleased not to have conceded.

Leicester have had opportunities. But when you have those kind of opportunities against the team like Arsenal when you don't get many of those, you need to be ruthless and clinical. They haven't made the most of it so far.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 14:50 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2022

    Liverpool 0-0 Aston Villa

Wow. Chances galore in the last five minutes of this half. Jasmine Matthews' header is cleared off the goalline and Villa break while Liverpool have committed too many forward. Alisha Lehmann is through one-on-one with the goalkeeper but Rachel Laws makes an excellent save and it crashes back off the post!

A big chance! Megan Campbell takes one of her long throw-ins and Katie Stengel flicks it into the side-netting.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2022

    Leicester 0-3 Arsenal

This has been dominant and straightforward for Arsenal so far.

The weather isn't helping Leicester, and you can see what Willie Kirk was trying to do in containing the visitors, but they've been unassailable,

    Leicester need to stay competitive.

    Reading 0-0 Man City

Hayley Raso has a great chance to put City ahead but her shot is easily saved by Jackie Burns.

Man City are getting in the right areas but Reading are keeping them at bay.

  14. Postpublished at 14:45 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2022

    Liverpool 0-0 Aston Villa

Meg Campbell's free-kick is hit well but it's blocked by the Villa wall. Rachel Furness then loops a deep cross in but Gilly Flaherty's header is straight at goalkeeper Anna Leat.

  16. Postpublished at 14:44 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2022

Lauren Hemp crosses in for Bunny Shaw who shots wide. It takes a deflection off a Reading defender so Man City have a corner.

  18. Postpublished at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2022

    Liverpool 0-0 Aston Villa

Really good spell for Liverpool here. Katie Stengel holds it up in the box and tees up Emma Koivisto. She beats a player then slices it wide. A few moments later, Koivisto wins a free-kick just on the edge of the box. Villa are under pressure at the moment.

  19. Postpublished at 14:42 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2022

    Liverpool 0-0 Aston Villa

Ooh. It's given away again by Villa in the middle under pressure from Rachel Furness. Mel Lawley has space and Katie Stengel is free in the middle but she holds on for it for too long and goes herself. Her shot is blocked.

A brilliant delivery from Steph Catley and we said about loading the ball under the crossbar. This is exactly what Arsenal did!

Think it was Foord that was blocking Levell at the far post which made it difficult for her to come and collect the ball. It goes straight into the goal.
