Fulham, just as they had been before conceding, have been bright with Harry Wilson twice having efforts kept out by United's goalkeeper David de Gea.

Tyrell Malacia, a make-shift right-back with regular occupant Diogo Dalot out suspended, is having a tough time and if Fulham are to get an equaliser it may well come down their left.

However, United were themselves unlucky to not double their lead when Anthony Martial, left out of France's World Cup squad, shot at goal, with Bernd Leno getting something on it to take out the power before quickly recovering to stop the ball crossing the line.

Good game this one, and plenty to be encouraged by for both sides.

Another Cottagers corner as Tyrell Malacia puts Andreas Pereira's whipped cross behind with Willian lurking.

It's cleared at the near post. United have defended Fulham's crosses and set-pieces excellently so far.

It's all coming down United's right but Tyrell Malacia recovers brilliantly to foil an Antonee Robinson cross after the Fulham full-back initially gets the better of him.

Leno does well again, he makes himself big and makes it difficult for Martial to get a clear shot on goal, comes out, closes the angle down.

Had he not been able to get back himself, Antonee Robinson was right behind him to clear the danger.

Fair play to both sides here. No shying away from anything with the World Cup so close.

Everyone is giving it 100 per cent.

Slips Anthony Martial in with a lovely pass and the Frenchman tries to nutmeg Bernd Leno.

He half succeeds but the keeper gets something on it and scrambles back to stop it crossing the line.

De Gea reacted well, got the ball out of danger. Again, it's another warning shot for Man United.

Good response from Fulham this - unlucky to be behind on the balance of play and chances.

Harry Wilson is probably half a yard offside. De Gea makes a brilliant save on the line. That was a tough one because it was right at an angle, he has to throw something at it and he did very well.

Former United man Andreas Pereira's lovely low pass finds Harry Wilson behind the visitors' back-line but his first-time strike is kept out by the keeper's legs.

The flag goes up belatedly and replays show Wilson was fractionally offside but the Spaniard wasn't to know that.

As if Schmeichel was having to go up for a corner late on against Volgograd when United were in their mid-90s pomp.

Fulham have been on the front foot and they have been since the start of the game. They've really tried to find their way through the gaps of Man United.

They just need to be a bit more clinical when they get into that final third.

Could have been even more uphill but Marcus Rashford fluffs a volley from a wonderful whipped-in cross by Bruno Fernandes, who is having a fine game thus far.

Flag was up for offside, though, sparing Rashford's blushes.

Manchester United have won every Premier League game in which they have scored first this season.

Uphill task for Fulham then.

Big chance for Fulham as Willian bursts into the area from Andreas Pereira's clever first-time ball.

But he elects to pull it back instead of shooting across goal and it's out for a corner that United clear.

That's Christian Eriksen's first competitive goal for Manchester United and came after Fulham had possession but lost it on the halfway line.

Anthony Martial broke away at speed, he played it to Bruno Fernandes, whose lovely first-time low cross was converted at the back post by the sliding Eriksen.

Fulham had made a bright start, but they go behind as the visitors strike first. The only noise is coming from the United fans at the opposite end to where their team have just scored.

I reckon Mark Schwarzer's being a bit harsh on Fernandes there, pretty sure he looked up and saw Eriksen coming in at the back post.
