    Coventry 1-0 Blackburn

Jake Garrett sent offImage source, Rex Features

Blackburn's pursuit of a dramatic late equaliser at the CBS Arena has just got that little bit harder.

Jake Garrett has been sent off for going in two footed with very little at stake in midfield.

Coventry could be heading out of the Championship relegation places tonight with quite the scalp over second-placed Rovers.

And that should be that as Middlesbrough get their third goal of the night.

Ryan Giles gets played into space down the left and into the box. His low shot takes a deflection as it slips under Nathan Baxter and into the goal.

Michael Carrick is 10 minutes away from his first victory as Boro boss.

Leeds United Under-21s have missed out on a place in the next round of the Trophy after an incredible penalty shootout at Crewe.

Both sides converted their opening spot-kicks but the next six penalties were missed, three of them going over the bar, as the hosts eventually won the shootout 2-1 with Darko Gyabi seeing the final spot-kick saved by Dave Richards.

Portsmouth are 1-1 in the final 10 minutes of their group game against AFC Wimbledon.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2022

    Bristol City 0-1 Sheffield United

The second time tonight Bristol City have hit the woodwork and still they trail by one goal.

George Tanner's effort is a fine strike on the half volley from distance and would have made a goal to remember had it not bounced back off the post.

Can't say Bristol City aren't pushing for an equaliser at least.

  8. Postpublished at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2022

    Coventry 1-0 Blackburn

Tyrhys Dolan picks out George Hirst with a cross as Blackburn look to force a late equaliser.

But he heads over the Coventry crossbar.

  9. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:23 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2022

    West Brom 0-0 Blackpool

More pressing from West Brom, this time as Grady Diangana finds John Swift in the box.

But Blackpool goalkeeper Chris Maxwell makes a fine save as he turns and strikes at goal.

  10. CLOSE!published at 21:22 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2022

    Bristol City 0-1 Sheffield United

Another chance goes begging for the Robins as they knock on the door for an equaliser.

Nahki Wells combines well with Antoine Semenyo - who's just been brought on by Nigel Pearson - and he gets a shot away on the turn but it goes wide.

  11. League One latestpublished at 21:22 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2022

Accrington keeper Toby Savin is living up to his name, first he denies goalscorer Jack Diamond from point blank range and then from the resulting corner he holds on to a header from Paudie O'Connor. Still 1-0 to the Imps inside the last 15 minutes.

More great goalkeeping from Ben Wilson.

The Coventry stopper tackles Ben Brereton Diaz as Blackburn strike, then clears the ball away.

  14. CLOSE!published at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2022

    Bristol City 0-1 Sheffield United

Bristol City have been one of the best attacking teams in the Championship this season, yet so far tonight they can't quite get the ball over the line.

Alex Scott is having an excellent evening though and makes his second darting run into the box, leaving half of the Sheffield United defence for dust. His shot flies just wide however.

  15. Postpublished at 21:16 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2022

    West Brom 0-0 Blackpool

John Swift almost gives West Brom the lead!

Jed Wallace works the ball down the left flank and plays it to Matt Philips who finds Swift.

His shot is off target, however.

Wycombe are back in front against Port Vale.

Back in front, you say? Well yes, some might have missed James Wilson making it 1-1 in the seventh minute of first-half stoppage time, but Lewis Wing has now struck just after the hour to put Wanderers 2-1 up with a shot from distance.

  17. goal

GOAL: Hull 1-2 Middlesbroughpublished at 21:12 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2022

Well, that didn't last long did it?!

No sooner have Hull drawn level, Middlesbrough go and retake the lead.

It starts with a free-kick on the left and eventually comes to Isiah Jones on the other side of the box. He chips the ball back in for Darragh Lenihan to head back across goal and then there's a bit of confusion as to whether the ball actually crossed the line or not as it's bundled into the net.

Needless to say, the referee pointed to his watch and whistled for the goal.

  18. Postpublished at 21:12 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2022

    Preston 1-0 Swansea

    Better stuff from Swansea.

Jamie Paterson whips in a free-kick and Alan Browne is forced into action to clear the ball away.

Preston could do with another goal, here.

  19. Postpublished at 21:11 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2022

    Coventry 1-0 Blackburn

Coventry could be two up here.

Viktor Gyokeres runs through and finds Jamie Allen having split the Blackburn defence but the Coventry goalscorer can't quite work a second as his shot is saved by Rovers keeper Thomas Kaminski.

  20. goal

GOAL: Hull 1-1 Middlesbroughpublished at 21:10 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2022

    Cyrus Christie (60 mins)

It's definitely been coming as Cyrus Christie draws Hull level.

He makes an excellent run into the box, before his shot takes a nifty deflection to go beyond Zack Steffen into the goal.
