David: That is some of the worst marking I have ever seen at this level. He was totally free in the area.

Nicholas: I like and respect Conte but these players aren’t capable of going from solid passive defending to ruthless attacking. He has to take that responsibility.

Mike: Can't see Spurs scoring...they don't have the players to support Kane.

Kartik: Spurs are such a reactive side. Conte clearly doesn't seem to have confidence in this bunch of players to keep the ball out and hence the set-up.

    HT: Liverpool 0-0 Napoli

Napoli have stopped the opposition from scoring a first-half goal in 5 of their 6 games, only Bayern Munich (6) have done this more often in the Champions League this season.

Good company for the Italians to be keeping.

Chris: I have seen Swindon beat better League 2 sides this season than Spurs are playing at the moment. Awful in every department.

Nick: For a team playing a back 5 with 3 defensive midfielders in front of them being captained by a World Cup winning goalkeeper, you’d think they would be able to not leave an opposition centre back completely unmarked from a corner.

Mo: You'd think Spurs were in a dead rubber by the way they're playing. No intensity, no passion, no aggression, no quality. What an absolute mess. Every single one of those players needs a talking to.

    The half-time whistle goes.

Spurs are 45 minutes away from exiting the Champions League after a pretty torrid first half.

There's been 70% possession by Marseille and I'm not surprised. This is the ninth time in 12 matches that Spurs have fallen behind first.

Spurs are shaken. Four minutes since the goal and they've done nothing.

Dave: Don't understand these Spurs tactics? Should've flown out the blocks and gone for a goal. That goal was always coming. Really poor tactics. Spurs and first half's this season are woeful.

Mubeen: Harry Kane always goes missing in big games.

Marseille knew they had to try and do something before half-time. Somehow Spurs have to adapt now without a manager.

The other game doesn't really matter in this regard. Spurs HAVE to score or they're out of the Champions League.

There's the opening goal! Marseille in front. Well worked it was! Chancel Mbemba, the man who was sent off in London got in with a powerful header and with this score line Spurs will be going out of the Champions League tonight.

Ian: I say this as an extremely frustrated Spurs fan - Champions League? You're having a laugh.

Adam: Appalling tactics and motivation from Spurs. Just appalling. What is Conte doing?

Oliver: I like Conte's passion but I'm finally losing patience with the guy. What are we doing? How can we be this bad? This 10-behind-the-ball strategy is making us totally passive. We lack any dynamism or cut and thrust. It's useless. A team totally sapped of any energy

    It's been coming!

After one added minute the ref blows for the break.

It has been a pretty even affair, although Liverpool have had the better opportunities. Neither side giving an inch.

A reminder that Liverpool need to win 4-0 to pip Napoli to top spot. That's not looking likely.
