    Nicky Clark

    Incredible!

Borna Barisic just made an incredible tackle to stop Stevie May steaming through.

But a minute later and the Saints striker beats Leon King and crosses for Nicky Clark, who gets across Barisic and touches in.

It's a deft finish and Saints are in dreamland.

Stevie May turns into prime Messi on the touchline as he holds off a defender and squares for David Wotherspoon a few yards out.

Wotherspoon has his back to goal and can't get a shot in, and eventually slips, before nearly hooking the ball in.

Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor got there first though.

There's been a stoppage for a VAR check, as Malik Tillman tangled with a St Johnstone player.

It can only be a red card check, which is a bit odd as it seemed fairly innocuous. Anyway, check over. On we go...

I'm not sure you need two players anchoring the game. I think one of the deeper-lying midfielders, Sands or Lundstram, could make way for Arfield.

  20. HALF-TIME - St Johnstone 1-0 Rangerspublished at 12:45 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2022

Apparently that was James Brown's first career goal. I'll bet he won't score a better one.

A sensational strike has Saints in front at the break, despite Rangers dominating pretty much the whole half.
