Ethan [Ampadu] can play in a back three, possibly a back two, as a holding midfielder.

    He's a brilliant young talent, multi-faceted.

It depends on the system Rob Page chooses to play, that's the wonderful thing going into this tournament we've got so many options.

Playing week in and week out will benefit Joe Rodon massively going into the World Cup.

He would have realised that, not getting much game time at Tottenham.

Joe deserves a lot of credit because even when he wasn't getting minutes at Tottenham he was still turning up and performing 9/10 in a Wales shirt.

That's not an easy thing to do as a defender.

Iran are a very good team, USA a good team, England we know all about.

It's going to be a really tough group, there's no easy points, each game will mean something.

I think we will still need something going into the England game at the end.

Chris Gunter and Johnny Williams, people maybe have the opinion do they deserve to go?

You can't beat experience, those players will play a different role. The experienced players can just bring everybody down a level, they can help the younger players.

    He has to start.

  17. Page on 'loyalty'published at 19:26 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2022

Rob Page has been telling BBC Wales' football correspondent Rob Phillips how important he thinks loyalty is.

“True to my word I’m going to stay loyal to the lads that have earned the right to be there," he told BBC Radio Wales.

“Even from 2016, some of the group that are still with us from getting to the semi-final in 2016 – the one thing missing from their CV was getting to a World Cup.

“Who am I to say that they haven’t earned the right to be there."

I'm a little bit disappointed Ollie Cooper isn't in there, have we got enough quality in the attacking third to score goals?

We can't over rely on Gareth Bale, that can't happen anymore.
