So Wales finish 2022 with a satisfactory draw against Finland, a team who have made a habit of reaching European Championships in recent times.

The Euros are the target for Gemma Grainger's Wales after the pain of missing out on a World Cup place, and this was a decent enough start to their preparations for the next qualifying campaign, which is to come next year.

We will be there every step of the way so make sure you join us.

For now, it is thank you and goodbye.

Wales led at the break thanks to Carrie Jones' tap-in but Eveliina Summanen's penalty gave the Finns a share of the spoils.

Not long to go now - and there is not much sign of a winner as Katariina Kosola picks up a late booking.

For a moment Ffion Morgan thinks she is through on goal as she latches onto Sophie Ingle's lofted pass - but a tight offside call goes against her.

If you don't shoot you don't score, but it maybe just shows the lack of creativity Wales have had in this half.

    Wales 1-1 Finland

A good bit of hold-up play from Elise Hughes allows Wales to counter, but Jess Fishlock's ambitious 40-yard effort sails over the bar.

This is similar to the Switzerland game, there is no attacking intent there with the set-piece.

    Wales 1-1 Finland

Wales have a free-kick just inside the Finland half. They take an age to take it - and throw very few players forward.

  10. Postpublished at 85 mins

    Wales 1-1 Finland

Wales again cough up possession all too easily having done well to win it in the first place.

    That's frustrating.

  11. Postpublished at 83 mins

    Wales 1-1 Finland

Wales may feel hard done by over the decision to award Finland a penalty, but the Finns have been the better side in the second half.

Wales have offered little in attack since the break.

Elise Hughes is a good target, she has a good first touch and brings players in well.

  13. Postpublished at 80 mins

    Wales 1-1 Finland

Linda Sallstrom beats Gemma Evans down the Finland right, but Evans then makes a fine recovery challenge.

The corner which follows reaches Eveliina Summanen, but her header is easily saved by Olivia Clark.

    Wales 1-1 Finland

The substitutions are coming thick and fast now, with Elise Hughes now on for Kayleigh Green.

  15. Postpublished at 78 mins

    Wales 1-1 Finland

In fact it is Finland who threaten through Katarina Kosola, who drives forward with purpose and drills a long-range shot narrowly off target.

That is a scare for Wales.

  16. Postpublished at 77 mins

    Wales 1-1 Finland

The game has gone a little ragged since Finland's equaliser.

Can Wales compose themselves again and find a winner?

For the moment, they are not seeing enough of the ball.

    More Wales changes now.

Carrie Jones and Rhiannon Roberts depart as Megan Wynne and Charlie Estcourt come on.

Rhiannon Roberts' body position is really low, you'd argue she is in a natural position there, I think it's a harsh one.

  19. goal

GOAL - Wales 1-1 Finlandpublished at 70 mins

    Eveliina Summanen (pen)

Finland are level thanks to Eveliina Summanen's cool penalty.

Olivia Clark dives to her left and Summanen goes straight down the middle.

It's a tough way to concede for Wales. The ball hit Rhiannon Roberts' arm, but she did not know a lot about it.

  20. PENALTYpublished at 69 mins

Finland are awarded a penalty for handball against Rhiannon Roberts.
