    Wales 1-0 Finland

    Gwennan Harries
    Former Wales striker

Rachel Rowe is a tricky player to play against if you have the ball because she is constantly biting at your heels, it's whether Wales can get her on the ball in good areas.

  2. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Wales 1-0 Finland

A deep free-kick drops for Kayleigh Green, but her deflected shot is gathered by Finland keeper Anna Tamminen.

  3. Postpublished at 66 mins

    Wales 1-0 Finland

Emma Koivisto, who has been booked, upends Carrie Jones.

Were this a competitive game, Koivisto may have been heading for an early shower.

  4. Postpublished at 64 mins

    Wales 1-0 Finland

Ffion Morgan is operating on the flank, with Rachel Rowe switching to a central role behind Kayleigh Green and Jess Fishlock dropping a little deeper in midfield.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 63 mins

    Wales 1-0 Finland

Ffion Morgan is on for Angharad James and Olivia Clark comes on to take over from Laura O'Sullivan in goal.

Finland make a change as Sanni Franssi enters the fray.

  6. Postpublished at 61 mins

    Wales 1-0 Finland

Gemma Evans makes not one but two interceptions inside a few seconds.

The Reading defender has been impressive - once again - tonight.

  7. Postpublished at 59 mins

    Wales 1-0 Finland

That's risky from Angharad James and she is dispossessed in her own box.

Wales get away with it, but they have gone off the boil a bit.

  8. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Wales 1-0 Finland

Jess Fishlock needs a bit of a treatment but she is okay.

She has been Wales' most assured player on the ball tonight.

  9. Postpublished at 19:44 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Wales 1-0 Finland

    Gwennan Harries
    Former Wales striker

I hope I don't sound too negative but I have been a bit frustrated about the team being the same one - I would like to see this being used as an opportunity to play the younger players.

I am hoping Gemma Grainger will freshen things up on the 60-minute mark.

    Wales 1-0 Finland

    Gwennan Harries
    Former Wales striker

Wales were really sloppy again in possession then.

Finland are playing 4-4-2, which allows you to press a lot higher, and Wales struggled to get out then.

  11. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Wales 1-0 Finland

Half a chance for Finland as Wales make a mess of clearing, but Olga Ahtinen's effort is tame.

  12. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Wales 1-0 Finland

An uncharacteristically poor touch from Sophie Ingle presents Finland with a corner, but happily for Wales - and their skipper - it comes to nothing.

  13. Postpublished at 19:39 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Wales 1-0 Finland

    Gwennan Harries
    Former Wales striker

I'd like to see Wales look forward a little bit more often. They are really comfortable in going back, it's the safe option.

  14. Postpublished at 50 mins

    Wales 1-0 Finland

Finland, remember, have lost their last seven matches - yet they are still ranked one place higher than Wales, who are 31st, in the Fifa rankings.

A Welsh win tonight would be a notable achievement, therefore, even if the Finns are not flying right now.

  15. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Wales 1-0 Finland

Wales have begun the second half as they ended the first - on the front foot.

  16. Postpublished at 19:36 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Wales 1-0 Finland

    Gwennan Harries
    Former Wales striker

Wales were better in the last half of the first half.

Hopefully they can get on the ball again, pull Finland out of position and show a little more composure in the final third.

Jess Fishlock may be 35, but the OL Reign looks set to play on for Wales as she attempts to help her country to a major tournament.

Her performance so far tonight is a reminder of why that is very good news for Gemma Grainger's team.

  19. Postpublished at 19:28 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    HT: Wales 1-0 Finland

Wales kept a hugely impressive five straight clean sheets before the Switzerland game.

Another shut-out tonight would mean it is job done for Wales as they look to finish 2022 on a high note.

Wales' only defeat in their last six games was that agonising loss to Switzerland last time out.

We are only halfway through this contest, of course, but Gemma Grainger's are on course to continue what has been a decent run of form.

Thy started slowly against the Finns, but have been impressive since going ahead through Carrie Jones' close-range finish.

That's two goals in the last four Wales games for the talented teenager, who is on loan at Leicester from Manchester United.
