Tyler Smith is played in on the angle by Greg Docherty but Daniel Bachmann does well in the home goal to turn his near post shot around the upright.

Just as the Watford v Hull game was getting under way, League One MK Dons announced they had sacked their head coach Liam Manning.

The 37-year-old had been in charge for more than a year, but Saturday's defeat by Fleetwood left them 23rd in the table.

They've also only won once at home in the league all season, all the way back in August.

I'll be polite and say it has been a largely uneventful first 45 minutes...

Not really sure what else to say.

Watford had the best chance of the half when Joao Pedro forced a decent low save from Matt Ingram in the Hull City goal after the visitors had got caught out trying to play out from the back.

Hornets midfielder Hamza Chourhury and Hull winger Dimitrios Pelkas were both forced off early on after a 50-50.

Hull ending the half with a bit of territory down by the Watford goal.

Can they fashion an opening?

No, they pass it straight out of play.

Five minutes added on.

To be fair, I thought there was going to be a bit more than that after the injury hold ups at the start.

The game is finally starting to come to life a little as we head towards the break.

A dreadful attempted pass by Jean Michael Seri is intercepted and Joao Pedro plays a nice one-two with Keinan Davis before forcing a quality low save from Matt Ingram in the Hull City goal.

Those two early injuries have really stopped this game building any kind of momentum.

I've got no idea why Hamza Choudhury is trying to carry on for Watford.

He is hobbling about the place and looks in serious discomfort.
