That's what John McGinn does for Scotland. Soyuncu tries to bring him down, but he powers on, and what a brilliant finish. We've been waiting for that all night.

    John McGinn

    What a finish!

Out of the blue, Scotland are right back in it and it all down to the determination and skill of John McGinn, who gathers the ball in his own half and drives forward, staying on his feet after a clip of his heels, then thunders an angled drive low into the corner of the net.

It's not been a good show. Scotland have not been up for it. Individually and as a team, I don't think it's a showing Steve Clarke will be happy with.

    Turkey 2-0 Scotland

Scotland with a free-kick in the Turkish half but they are quickly forced to retreat.

The visitors build again and a low cross from John McGinn is just behind Lyndon Dykes in the penalty area.

Prior to that, Calvin Ramsay was brushed off the ball and only a mis-kick near the penalty spot scuppered a good chance for the hosts to make it three.

    Turkey 2-0 Scotland

    Martin Dowden
    BBC Sport Scotland in Diyarbikar

Scotland hoped for better but it just got worse and what a cool finish it was from Cengiz Under who drove at the exposed defence and showed such composure to slot away into the corner.

The second half started in the same manner with Scotland camped in and Turkey running the show.

The travelling fans would have looked for a spark from the introduction of Scott McKenna and Calvin Ramsay but it doesn't seem at all likely right now.

You wonder what this experience will do for the team other than the fact they've experienced it. With such a gap to the European qualifiers it perhaps brings more questions than answers.
