    A Carlton Morris double!

A Luton free-kick is curled into the box by James Bree and QPR's Kenneth Paal gets a head onto it.

    QPR 0-1 Luton

We are back under way at Loftus Road.

No changes at the break. Can QPR respond to Luton's lead?

  3. Cardiff travel to defensive Coventrypublished at 19:00 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2022

    Coventry v Cardiff (19:45 GMT)

Cardiff are still hovering around the bottom of the Championship and travel to Coventry this evening having drawn three on the bounce in the league.

They've got a challenge on their hands if they are to breach the Sky Blues' defence this evening, however.

Coventry have kept more clean sheets at home this season than any other team in the Championship,

Will we see an attacking display from the Bluebirds as they look to build a gap on the bottom three ahead of the new year?

  4. Terriers chasing three points to close out yearpublished at 18:56 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2022

    Huddersfield v Rotherham (19:45 GMT)

It's a Yorkshire derby tonight as Huddersfield close out their 2022 with the visit of Rotherham.

The struggling Terriers have a pretty decent record in their final game of the year, with a possible three points looking very valuable as they occupy bottom spot in the table.

Huddersfield have lost just once in their past 11 final league games of the calendar year.

Contrast that with Rotherham who have lost five of the past seven, including two in a row.

On paper this is a mismatch between a pair of teams at opposite ends of the Championship table.

But the last time these two sides met they tore up the script and we had an absolute barn stormer of a match with six goals, missed penalties, last minute equalisers, multiple red cards and an injury time scrap.

It ended in a chaotic 3-3 draw.

Now the dust has settled and Blackpool are without a win in their last seven league games and floundering in the relegation zone.

Michael Appleton's Seasiders are taking-on-water and in need of a life raft.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United find themselves on a four game winning streak and a victory away from going joint top on points.

Expect an electric atmosphere between these two at Bloomfield Road tonight.

    QPR 0-1 Luton

Ethan Horvath parries a long QPR ball into the box over the crossbar and out for a corner to the hosts.

It's sent into the box and Jordan Clark makes two clearances as the Rs try to keep it alive.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 44 mins

    QPR 0-1 Luton

The first yellow card of the match goes to Luton. Alfie Doughty goes into the book for a cynical foul on Jimmy Dunne.

It's getting a bit scrappy as we approach half-time.

    QPR 0-1 Luton

Ilias Chair curls a ball into the Luton box and into the path of the onrushing Lyndon Dykes.

But the ball sails into the hands of Luton keeper Ethan Horvath.

    Five to go until half-time.

    QPR 0-1 Luton

Olamide Shodipo puts a foot in on Amari'i Bell in a challenge for the ball and Luton are awarded a free-kick in a dangerous area outside the QPR box.

It's sent into the box but Luton are flagged offside. Replays show about four Luton players were offside, too.

    I'm impressed, if anything.

    QPR 0-1 Luton

QPR are passing the ball around well so far and force Luton into conceding a throw-in deep in the Hatters' half.

But they play it deep and soon after end up back on halfway.

    QPR 0-1 Luton

Ethan Laird spins and plays though Olamide Shodipo on the right flank and eventually a QPR ball into the box is richocheted away for a corner.

The hosts send it into the Luton box and it pinballs around before the visitors clear their lines.

QPR definitely beginning to turn the screw.

  14. Postpublished at 29 mins

    QPR 0-1 Luton

Ilias Chair profits from Luton giving the ball away deep in their own half and he turns and races towards the box.

Fortunately for the visitors, however, Chair chooses to turn again before he can work a shot away and he ends up losing the ball.

A promising QPR break comes to an end no sooner than it starts.

    QPR 0-1 Luton

Midway through the first half and there's definitely a high tempo to this game with QPR still seeing more of the ball.

But Luton are doing a fine job of keeping them out so far.

    QPR 0-1 Luton

    Lovely stuff from Ilias Chair.

He turns and beats Allan Campbell and Alfie Doughty after picking the ball up in midfield.

He then races towards the box and, after Luton fail to close him down, the QPR man sends a low shot goalbound but Ethan Horvath collects with ease.

    QPR 0-1 Luton

QPR win a corner and it's launched into the box but Luton swiftly clear the ball away.

Just under 20 minutes gone and it's a decent encounter so far. QPR certainly not sitting back despite Luton taking the lead.

  18. Postpublished at 15 mins

    QPR 0-1 Luton

QPR have dominated the possession so far in this match and they continue to do so despite Carlton Morris' fabulous opener for Luton.

But can they turn this spell with the ball into a response?

Luton look comfortable without the ball and breaking on the counter, with Morris firing low into the hands of Seny Dieng after the visitors pick up a loose ball.

  19. goal

GOAL: QPR 0-1 Lutonpublished at 10 mins

    Carlton Morris

    Wow.

Luton take the lead in style and it comes following some good work from Alfie Doughty who works a ball in towards Carlton Morris who's stood on the edge of the QPR box.

He then sends a quickfire low shot through the legs of Ethan Laird and it beats Seny Dieng as it hits the bottom corner.

    Sensational, but can QPR respond?

  20. Postpublished at 8 mins

    QPR 0-0 Luton

Cracking bit of skill from QPR as they break following Carlton Morris' effort for Luton moments beforehand.

Olamide Shodipo dinks a ball past his marker and sends a low ball into the box but QPR can't work onto the end of his effort.
