The half-time whistle goes. Pretty much a perfect return to football for Chelsea.

Chelsea win another corner. Bournemouth are desperately trying to hang on for the break.

Mark Travers is keeping Bournemouth in this game just before the break. This time a strong arm and hand are needed to stop Raheem Sterling's drive to his near post.

Reece James rides a tackle in the box and slams a shot in from a tight angle which Mark Travers saves. The keeper stops Christian Pulisic from doing anything wth the rebound.

Bournemouth had a penalty appeal moments before that but the ruling was Philip Billing was not fouled.

Kai Havertz races into the box and is penalised for a foul on Adam Smith, with Christian Pulisic sweeping the ball home - but it won't count.

Not a bad spell for the Cherries but Chelsea are dealing with it fairly comfortably.

Bournemouth captain Lloyd Kelly, on his return from three and a half months out injured, does well to win a free-kick off Mason Mount.

Good Bournemouth move and they win a corner following a perfectly timed sliding tackle by Denis Zakaria.

They concede a free-kick immediately from the corner.

Christian Pulisic runs down the left and drifts inside but his shot is blocked. It really is all Chelsea.

Some 44.5% of the action has been in the Chelsea third over the last 15 minutes.

Bournemouth's only shot to date came in the second minute.

Thiago Silva plays a lovely ball over the top to Kai Havertz but it runs too wide for the German. He pulls it back to Raheem Sterling and then the offside flag goes up anyway.

Reece James lifts in a couple of Chelsea crosses but neither find a man in blue.

Now they're both fine and play goes on.

Lewis Cook fouls Christian Pulisic to stop a Chelsea counter and they're both hurt.

Kai Havertz has basically headed away every Bournemouth set-piece here, this time he clears from Lewis Cook's crossed free-kick.

Almost a chance for Bournemouth as Jack Stacey controls Jefferson Lerma's clipped ball into the area but Marc Cucurella just gets a nick on it.

As the ball comes into Mason Mount, what a lovely finish that is. Mount just uses the defender to curl it round into that bottom corner. Brilliant strike, thoroughly deserved for Chelsea.
