I like Giakoumakis, he's prepared to run but equally he can hold it up as well. Kyogo has started dropping deeper already.

    Rangers 2-1 Celtic

A graphic flashes up on the TV coverage. Celtic have scored 16 goals in the final 15 minutes of matches this season. More than anyone else.

They don't look like doing it here. But will they?

Former Scotland manager on BBC 5 Live

This will be a mystery to the manager that Celtic's performance has been nowhere near where it needs to be.

    Rangers 2-1 Celtic

Celtic haven't even had a chance in this second half.

That's testament to Rangers, but also so unlike the league leaders.

Alfredo Morelos is off, and on comes Scott Wright.

Ryan Jack is on for Rangers by the way, with John Lundstram off. Scott Wright is also coming on soon.

Jota and Giorgos Giakoumakis replace Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate for Celtic.

There's a little clash of heads between James Tavernier and Daizen Maeda.

The Rangers captain is down with a nosebleed but he'll be ok. Here's a look at his penalty which gave his side the lead. Top bag.

Do Celtic have a response in them?

Rangers are on course to cut the gap to six points, and re-ignite their title hopes.

    Rangers 2-1 Celtic

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

Celtic have got to get a hold of the ball in the forward areas. Rangers have been pressing well and Celtic haven't been able to dictate the play like they did in the first half.

    Rangers 2-1 Celtic

Rangers launch an attack, and Fashion Sakala cuts in and smashes a shot goalward, which is blocked by Cameron Carter-Vickers.

Josip Juranovic is seriously struggling playing out of position at left-back.

  9. VAR checkspublished at 70 mins

    Rangers 2-1 Celtic

There will be another check for a potential Celtic penalty.

Two handballs are looked at, but no penalties given. Again they're both close-range where Connor Goldson blocks two balls.

The Rangers defender couldn't do much about either.

    Rangers 2-1 Celtic

    Jonathan Sutherland
    BBC Sport Scotland

    What a turnaround at Ibrox.

Celtic with the lead in the first half but they were certainly not at their best. Several players not hitting the heights we have become accustomed to.

Juranovic - linked with a move to the cream of top clubs across Europe - has looked a shadow of the player who starred for Croatia in Qatar.

Starfelt then shooting his side in the foot with the penalty award.

Suddenly the faux pas from Morelos feels like a long time ago and Ibrox is bouncing.

  11. VAR checkpublished at 65 mins

    Rangers 2-1 Celtic

Check for a Celtic penalty. A TV replay shows Connor Goldson's arm does connect with the ball. At least it looks like it.

But VAR Willie Collum has decided not to send John Beaton to the monitor to look for himself.

    No penalty.

  12. Postpublished at 13:54 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2023

    Rangers 2-1 Celtic

Liel Abada has made an immediate impact.

The winger scampers into the box and lifts the ball into the six-yard box, forcing Connor Goldson to nod it over his own bar.

Celtic get consecutive corners, and Carl Starfelt's shot is blocked as Rangers clear.

  13. Celtic changespublished at 60 mins

Ange Postecoglou is changing it up.

Aaron Mooy replaces Matt O'Riley in midfield for Celtic, with Liel Abada on for James Forrest.

    Brilliant from Reo Hatate.

The Celtic midfielder rolls Malik Tillman and gets into the box, before flashing a cross past the goal.

If Allan McGregor doesn't get a touch, Daizen Maeda probably had a tap in for Celtic.

It's flipped so easily and so quickly when you consider the first goal and the penalty. Celtic have a big challenge now. Can they play their game?

You're not saving that one, you'd need to be swinging from the crossbar to keep that out. He must have been feeling the nerves, he's missed one or two, but that was emphatic, considered and had loads of conviction.
