    The Brewery Arms pub

This is the last pub in England.

It’s in Saltney on the outskirts of Chester - it’s a town that’s divided by the Welsh border which runs along a road called Boundary Lane just next to the Brewery Arms.

It’s the most urbanised part of the England/Wales border.

Despite that, the landlord Danny Thomas told us the pub is “England all the way”.

He’s not expecting any Welsh fans to come in tonight – at all.

The Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium is starting to feel like a home from home for Wales, who are playing all three of their World Cup group games here.

Not that they've particularly taken to the place so far, drawing against the USA and losing to Iran before tonight's match against England.

The venue is hosting six group games and one second-round tie in total, and you can see the first signs of a bit of wear on the pitch.

Wales fan and BBC Radio 5 Live's Elis James has been speaking to Kelly Cates about his hopes for tonight's game: "I was desperately hoping we would get out of the group but personally, I don’t think it is going to happen.

"Who knows what will happen tonight?

"No matter what happens tonight, we will always have that penalty which seeing us score, it was just it was like when Gareth Bale scored against Slovakia in the first game of 2016.

"Once you have seen a goal at a major tournament after having failed to qualify for so long, they are just really special.

"Whatever happens you can't be too angry or despondent because we waited so long for this and you can’t question any of the player’s commitment."

    Wales v England (19:00 GMT)

    Tomos Morgan
    Reporting from Wales

Driving through Cardiff earlier and a steady flow of bucket hats were making their way to the pubs.

Now in Wales’ second city, Swansea, and the excitement is slowly increasing.

Two in three are wearing red. The red wall is building.

2,300 is the max capacity at the fanzine here which is sold out, but there is a whiff of apprehension in the air... nobody wanted a must win game against England today.

Two young men (who shall remain anonymous as they have come earlier than they told their wives) are “buzzing but not optimistic”.

They take a narrow loss.... but preferably a narrow victory ahead of a telling off at home.
