    • Leaders Leyton Orient are seven points clear at the top of the table after a 2-0 win against Sutton at Brisbane Road. Paul Smyth broke the deadlock just after the hour and a late own goal sealed the points.
    • There was a surprise at Holker Street where Swindon stopped the rot with a 1-0 win over Barrow. Louis Reed converted from the spot after just seven minutes as the visitors leapfrogged their hosts into fourth.

    • Argyle overcame rock-bottom Morecambe 2-1 with Niall Ennis and Sam Cosgrove grabbing second-half goals before Anthony O’Connor’s late consolation.
    • Third-placed Sheffield Wednesday had to settle for a stalemate against Oxford, who missed an injury-time penalty which would have snatched all three points.
    • David McGoldrick grabbed a hat-trick and the returning Nathaniel Mendez-Laing got another as Derby moved into the top-six with a 4-0 romp against Forest Green.
    • Devante Cole’s double made it five straight wins for fourth-placed Barnsley as they won 2-0 against Burton.
    • Conor Bradley and Dion Charles goals ensured Bolton in fifth, won by the same scoreline against Exeter.
    • Portsmouth lost ground as they were stunned 2-0 at home to managerless MK Dons, who moved up to third-bottom.
    • Pompey are 10th, a place below Bristol Rovers who came from a goal down to win at Charlton.

    After an unevntful first half this game came to life after the break.

    Oscar Estupinan missed a penalty for the home side before Elliot Embleton was sent off as he was stretchered off the field after a challenge on Ryan Woods.

    Ross Stewart gave the Black Cats the lead after coming on as a sub for his first appearance since August but fellow sub Ozan Tufan levelled with a good finish from Woods' cross.

    QPR grabbed this game by the scruff of the neck in the second half and defended well enough in the closing minutes to seal the win.

    What a start for new head coach Neil Critchley who sees his side jump to 6th.

    Disappointment for North End who had won four of their last five games. Today's loss brings their best run at home this season to an end.

    They fell behind just after the break but a quickfire brace from Manuel Benson and an own goal turned the game around.

    Morecambe have pulled one back at Plymouth in the dying seconds through Anthony O'Connor but the leaders still lead 2-1.
