A long ball pumped forward 70 yards by Stoke City is won by Tyrese Campbell - who heads it down and into the path of Liam Delap - who hits a crisp shot through the Bristol City keeper Max O'Leary.

What a way to finish the first half.

All to play for going into the second at Ashton Gate.

  7. Postpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2022

    Burnley 0-0 Middlesbrough

Burnley continue to press and a Johann Gudmundsson cross from the right isn't dealt with.

It bounces kindly for Josh Brownhill but he can't keep his left-foot shot down.

  8. Postpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2022

    Coventry 1-0 Swansea

Close to a second for Coventry.

Viktor Gyokeres drives into the area from the right, he turns the defender outside then in, goes for the near post but fires narrowly wide.

  9. Postpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2022

    Preston North End 0-0 QPR

North End forward Ben Woodburn has a chance to break the deadlock but his shot floats harmlessly wide.

The ball lands at his feet from a throw-in and he rushes the shot, swinging his boot at it, but failing to get a sweet connection and it's out for a goal kick.

Pretty much sums up the first half.

The leaders are behind. Wycombe have taken the lead against Ipswich on the stroke of half-time through Brandon Hanlan's solo goal.

Plymouth missed the chance to leapfrog Town at the top of the 'live' table as Morgan Whittaker saw a penalty saved against Morecambe just before the break.

Watford are getting on top now.

  12. Postpublished at 15:42 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2022

    Preston North End 0-0 QPR

Still pretty quiet in this one with neither side stamping their authority on the game in close to freezing temperatures at Deepdale.

It's a little surprising considering both teams' recent form.

North End have scored more goals in their last three games than they did in their opening 13 of the Championship season.

New QPR head coach Neil Critchley will probably be happy with the way his side have performed so far given he was only appointed a few days a go.

  13. Postpublished at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2022

    Huddersfield 0-0 Watford

BIG chance for the away side.

Star forward Joao Pedro hits a shot wide from close range.

    He'll want that one back.

    Bristol City 1-0 Stoke City

Just a few seconds before Nahki Wells found the back of the net for Bristol City they had hit the woodwork.

Certainly the Robins have been looking the more dangerous side as we creep towards half-time.
