Scrappy and not much to talk about - perhaps a reflection of the disappointing league positions of Liverpool and Everton.

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright is in attendance at Anfield. He, and the rest of the club's board, have not attended the last two games at Goodison Park because of security concerns.

Excellent defending from Seamus Coleman, standing up to Darwin Nunez and then dispossessing the Liverpool forward down the left flank.

It's going to be an interesting start, Liverpool are starting to get the ball and moving it around. Trying to find gaps that Everton might leave. They know that Everton are going to press and be up for it.

Set up wise, it's as expected. Nunez just going off the left hand side, Gakpo is central but I reckon they'll switch. Three in midfield and everything similar to last week.

Plenty of Liverpool players have been far from their best this season and that includes Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian finds a pass on the edge of the area and then opens up a yard for himself inside the area, but loses his footing at the vital moment to scuff a shot wide.

Playing in form and full of confidence, those are in the back of the net.

Liverpool's defending against Wolves in the last game was woeful and there is further evidence of that as Joel Matip completely misses the ball while attempting to clear.
