We're in the middle of a period of Spurs pressure now as they've had a string of throw-ins but they can't seem to find a way to get the ball into the box.

Nothing comes of that corner, but Villa go again and are attacking with more energy than at any other point in this half.

Spurs are on the back foot and are being kept out of the play at the moment.

Villa definitely aren't content with only leading by a single goal here. They go forward again and a Daly shot is turned behind for a corner.

That goal has put the wind behind Villa. They're advancing again, passing it around and toying with the Spurs defence.

Will we see another goal before the break?

Villa will be even more infuriated now by the fact they didn't capitalise on all of their dominance.

Their pressure waned a little in the run-up to that goal and Spurs showed how it only takes one chance to change the game.

The hosts have had the better of this tie but it doesn't matter for the scoreline.

Tottenham ended a run of 439 minutes without a goal in the Women's Super League, their longest since going 381 minutes without scoring from 21st March 2021 to 25th April 2021.

They have avoided defeat in their last 5 matches when scoring the opening goal in the WSL dating back to 24th April 2022 against Chelsea (L1-3).

Of the three debutants today it's Jordan Nobbs who's had the biggest impression on the game, threading the play in the final third.
