    Sam Kerr (87 mins)

    Would you believe it?

This is all about substitute Jelena Cankovic's delivery. The midfielder looks up on the right and angles a glorious pass straight onto the head of Sam Kerr, who steals a yard on Leah Williamson at close range and glances a header beyond Manu Zinsberger.

The mark of champions? When you've got Kerr lurking inside the penalty area, you can afford to have as few clear chances as Chelsea have had today.

Cankovic has come across as an exciting young talent for Chelsea. I watched her against Reading before Christmas, when she was on the scoresheet twice on her debut.

If you want a goal, she is a player full of energy and is fearless.

    Everton 2-0 Reading

Hanna Bennison picks up the ball just inside the Reading half and has the skill and pace to run at the away goal.

She chops back on to the right foot and shoots from 20 yards out but Jacqueline Burns does well to leap and catch the ball above her head to deny Everton a third.

Arsenal fans' nerves are jangling here: twice the ball rolls along the edge of the hosts' penalty area, but Chelsea can't capitalise.

Johanna Rytting Kaneryd has a note in her hand as she comes on for Magda Eriksson, handing it to Millie Bright. The over-arching message is clear: Chelsea have under five minutes of normal time in which to find at least one goal.

Sam Kerr and substitute Eve Perisset are linking up promisingly for Chelsea, the full-back slipping in the forward inside the penalty area before Steph Catley intervenes at the expense of a corner.

Catley then heads the resulting delivery behind at the near post.

Erin Cuthbert's distribution is normally spot on. But a few times in this game, she has either misplaced or overhit a pass.

It's very rare that you have to wait so long for a Chelsea attempt on target, but they manage one here.

Sam Kerr keeps a cross from the left alive at the far post, heading the ball back into the path of Magda Eriksson in front of goal.

The snag for Eriksson is that she's among a mass of red shirts, restricting her to much more than an effort straight at Manu Zinsberger.

  10. goal

    Jess Park

Everton double their lead and Jess Park gets the goal. She starts the move, plays a one-two with Nicoline Sorensen, takes the ball past Reading defender Gemma Evans and strikes low into the bottom corner past Jacqueline Burns.

Gabby George and Jess Park link up down the Everton left and it's played into the feet of Hanna Bennison, who has space to turn inside the Reading penalty area.

The Sweden international shoots at goal but it is just over the crossbar.

    The crossbar denies Arsenal!

Steph Catley approaches the penalty area to the left of centre and hurtles a diagonal cross towards Stina Blackstenius, evading her target.

Zecira Musovic rescues Chelsea again, tipping the ball onto the crossbar and away.

If Chelsea can find a reply, they will look back on that with a massive sigh of relief!

Natasha Dowie has a chance for an equaliser as she gets the wrong side of the Everton defence.

Goalkeeper Emily Ramsey is off her line and Dowie tries to chip her, but there's not enough elevation on the shot and it's straight into Ramsey's hands. Chance wasted.

We can see Guro Reiten just not having any luck on the ball at all. Every time she does have it, Arsenal's defenders are not giving her any time on the ball. They are simply closing everything down.

    Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

Arsenal are looking less assured right now.

The latest passage of Chelsea attacking leads to a chance for Sophie Ingle on the edge of the penalty area, whose shot initially looks dangerous but ultimately flashes well wide.

The Blues have replaced Jessie Fleming with Fran Kirby and Niamh Charles with Eve Perisset. Both of the substitutes have already caused trouble within sight of goal.
