Arsenal have avoided defeat in their last 31 matches when scoring the opening goal in the WSL.

They've also had all six of the shots on target during this half, having had all four in the first half.

Chelsea are having a go, though: Erin Cuthbert wins a corner after seeing her shot deflected behind from the edge of the penalty area, and Magda Eriksson and Lauren James then also send shots awry. They're upping their urgency.

    Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

Niamh Charles goes some way to atoning for conceding that penalty here, clearing off the line after a cross from the right causes chaos at the back for Chelsea.

There's some debate over whether that spot kick was justified, with replays appearing to suggest it was outside the box. There can be little argument that Arsenal's lead is deserved, though.

Chelsea need to find different ways to break down this Arsenal defence. You can't do that easily and there is a reason why they have the best defence in this league.

It's about finding a way forward if it's not on for Sam Kerr over the top.

Sanne Troelsgaard is looking Reading's main threat and she tries a snap shot with a bouncing ball from 30 yards out. It would've needed to be special, but she pulls it well wide of the post.

Captain Kim Little. First game back - leader, calm and composed. We talked about needing to be clinical and you won't see a cooler penalty than that.

She just slots it home into the right-hand side. Musovic went the wrong way.

Steph Catley nears the byline of the penalty area on the left and swings an inviting cross into the centre of the penalty area.

Lena Hurtig is unmarked at close range but can only nod straight at Zecira Musovic, who had correctly guessed where the attempt was going to go and plunges to gather with much more comfort than the goalkeeper should have been afforded.

Arsenal need to be more clinical in the box because they are creating a lot of opportunities and it's about testing Zecira Musovic.

As Chelsea are growing into this game, we might see a shift in possession. It is vital that when those chances do come, Arsenal can punish this Chelsea side.

Sam Kerr charges onto a ball through the centre from Erin Cuthbert - clearly the pass Chelsea believe they will prosper from.

The lethal striker combines with Guro Reiten on the edge of the penalty area, but they find themselves crowded out by a clutch of alert markers.

Laura Wienroither chases Kerr off to the left of the box, eventually sending her down in a fair challenge. The Australia hotshot makes no complaint.
