    Reading 0-0 Manchester United

BBC Radio Manchester summariser at Select Car Leasing Stadium

This is the way Manchester United play and it's something Marc Skinner has worked hard on: passing the ball through to Mary Earps and she is so comfortable with the ball on her feet. I think she is one of the best in European football.

She is so comfortable in possession.

    Everton 1-0 West Ham

It should be two. Katja Snoeijs slices the ball across the box and Gabby George is inches away from meeting it when she slides in.

A certain goal if she'd got on the end of it.

    Reading 0-0 Manchester United

Lucia Garcia is down after taking a Nikita Parris shot straight in the face.

A break in play that could help Reading, with the visitors in the ascendency.

    Reading 0-0 Manchester United

    Wide from Hayley Ladd!

Reading give the ball away to Ella Toone and it leads to the midfielder firing just wide.

    A warning shot.

The perfect start for Everton with a well-worked ball into Karen Holmgaard to finish. West Ham have barely got going yet.

It’s also worth stating that the pitch is looking very good here at Walton Hall Park despite the freezing conditions. The club and the FA made a good decision this morning to postpone kick-off to allow the conditions to settle.

Alessia Russo does well to get to a crossing position on the right, but her attempt is dealt with by Reading keeper Jackie Burns.

    The Toffees are in front!

Everton have a nice short-corner routine and Jess Park, who has been the brightest spark in the opening exchanges, whips an excellent cross into the box.

It's met by Holmgaard who puts her side ahead with a bullet header.

Everton start quickly. It's Jess Park, of course, who's provided the early energy.

The pitch looks in great condition here as Man Utd look to make it a fifth successive game unbeaten.

    Slow start so far.

Riviere, 21, who most recently played for AFC Ann Arbor in the USL W League, said she is a "huge" United fan, calling the move a "dream come true".

"Jayde is an exciting young player who matches the long-term version of United," said Skinner.

"We have been monitoring Jayde for a long time and believe she has the attributes to become an excellent footballer."

United are second in the Women's Super League table and face Reading at 14:00 GMT.

United boss Marc Skinner said of Cascarino: "Estelle will add quality and versatility both in and out of possession."

He added: "We played against Estelle in the Toulouse Cup in the summer, and it was clear to see what she can add to our group."

Cascarino, formerly of Bordeaux, Paris FC and Lyon, said: "On the pitch I am a fighter and like to help the team in both attack and defence. I cannot wait to get started here in England."

Manchester United have signed France international Estelle Cascarino and Canada defender Jayde Riviere.

Riviere, who has won 36 caps for Canada and won gold with them at the 2020 Olympic Games, joins on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Cascarino, who can play in defence or midfield, joins from Paris St-Germain on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy.

The 25-year-old has won two Division 1 titles and two French Cups.

Everton v West Ham (14:00 GMT)

BBC Sport at Walton Hall Park

I'm told there are no concerns over Everton's Nathalie Bjorn, who is on the bench after feeling a twinge in her hamstring last week.

Brian Sorensen doesn't need to take any risks but she is fully fit and raring to go should they need her.

As Everton boss Brian Sorensen mentions in his pre-match programme notes, West Ham's form has been up and down recently.

"West Ham are in a tricky run of form at the minute but that unpredictable edge is what makes them a dangerous opponent to face," said Sorensen.

"Paul Konchesky and his side will be eager to put his side back on track, and we welcome that challenge."

But West Ham have still shown their quality against the bigger sides, something Konchesky was keen to build on this season.

He wants to close the gap - not neccesarily in points, but in competitiveness.

In order to get closer, they need to edge the teams around them and that includes Everton.

Everton v West Ham (14:00 GMT)

Both Jessica and Katja Snoeijs have scored in Everton’s last two Women's Super League matches. Only one player has ever scored in three consecutive WSL appearances for the Toffees, with Courtney Sweetman-Kirk doing so in January 2018.

Everton have won five of their 10 WSL games under Brian Sorensen, reaching the five win mark in their 3-2 win over Reading last time out. It was the joint quickest any Toffees manager had reached five WSL wins, along with Mo Marley (also 10 games in 2011).

Everton have won three of their four home WSL matches in the month of January, beating Reading in 2020, Bristol City in 2021 and Reading again this month. Their other game was a 2-0 defeat to Man Utd in 2021.
