There are still 19 games and 57 points left to play for in the Championship, but the automatic promotion race is looking increasingly like a closed shop.

Burnley and Sheffield United won again today, at home to Coventry and Stoke respectively, and the gap between them and the play-off spots is becoming a yawning one.

With Blackburn losing to Rotherham, Burnley are now 16 points clear of third-placed Watford. Sheffield United's advantage is a very strong 11 points.

It will surely take something pretty astonishing for the Clarets and the Blades not be to playing Premier League football in August.

• Derby come from behind to beat Cheltenham while Bolton cruised past managerless Portsmouth 3-0.
• Charlton secured a third straight win and are within six points of the play-offs after Tyreece Campbell put them on their way to a 2-0 win at home to Barnsley.

• Accrington climb out of the relegation zone after a 2-0 victory over Bristol Rovers.

What a win from West Brom who come from 2-0 down after 10 minutes to pick up all three points at Kenilworth Road.

Luton were up to third at one point this afternoon but now sit two points off the play-off places.

The Baggies, who were in the relegation places before the World Cup break, climb to sixth.

The points are shared in the mid-table clash in Berkshire as QPR fight back from 2-0 down to draw.

A double from Jeff Hendrick put the Royals 2-0 up at the break but two goals from Tyler Roberts brought Rangers back into the game.

The hosts are three without a win while the west Londoners have one win in 11.

Top-six hopes are fading...

Swansea pick up all three points against 10-man Sunderland.

Two goals for Jayden Bogle and three points for the second-placed Blades.

Stoke now just a couple of points above the relegation zone.

Into five minutes of injury time at Turf Moor. Coventry are desperately searching for something for their efforts.
