I think Manchester United went in search of that second goal in the first half but they've been a bit more subdued in the second. I put that down to Charlton and how well they've defended.

Erik ten Hag will be a bit more nervous than he would have thought at this stage of the game.

Leicester just switched off.

It's a great incisive move, a great counter-attack from Newcastle, but from a Leicester perspective, they'll be disappointed that Newcastle had so much space from a throw-in.

This is better from the forward. He is sent scurrying away past the last Newcastle defender. He is wide left and opts for a low shot into the far corner... and misses by a yard. The ball goes wide.

Manchester United have had 71% possession but they will be frustrated that they've got to the 73rd minute with just the one goal and having to work hard to prevent Charlton getting back into this.

Oh, what a huge chance this is for Leicester!!!!

Jamie Vardy is central, nobody near him, the low ball into the middle for him is perfect and he need only side-foot in to make this a competitive tie again.

But somehow he sends his shot wide.

That is Joelinton's third goal of the season, his second against Leicester.

Remember when he was seen as something of a joke of a forward? Eddie Howe has completely transformed him into a big-hitting midfielder.

Another change for Charlton as Albie Morgan is replaced by Jack Payne. More fresh legs as they look to snatch an equaliser and maybe take this to penalties.

Eddie Howe is hastily consulting his tactics tablet, trying to work out what structural changes he can make to react to the Leicester switch to a more attacking formation.

At the moment, though, Newcastle are firmly on top. Wilfried Ndidi goes into the book for bundling over Callum Wilson.

Just under 30 minutes to go and Charlton boss Dean Holden will be pretty happy with what he's seen from his side. They've stayed in the game and are looking a bit more threatening in this half.

Leicester got caught in possession and Newcastle just pounced on them.

It's some great one-touch play, Dan Burn is really positive, pulls it on to his right foot, and, for the first time in the match, Danny Ward can't get anywhere near it.

Charlton also make a change as Corey Blackett-Taylor, who has caused Manchester United problems, is replaced by Eoghan O'Connell. That means a change in formation and it looks like they are switching to three at the back and playing with wingbacks.

Here comes the Leicester cavalry.

Luke Thomas and Patson Daka go off, so the Foxes look to be going back three.
