  1. KICK-OFFpublished at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2023

There's still plenty in both these ties. We're getting back under way with those semi-final places still very much up for grabs.

Remember, if we're still level at full-time we go straight to penalties to decide it.

Get the feeling this year could be Rodgers' last hurrah at Leicester. More likely to go down than qualify for Europe, only just scraped past Gillingham the other day and getting outplayed here. The two fifth placed finishes feel like a lifetime ago.

  3. Charlton starting to 'pick right pass'published at 21:01 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2023

    Man Utd 1-0 Charlton

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

As a neutral, you're hoping Charlton can work their way up the pitch a little bit better than they have so they can use Leaburn with deliveries into the penalty area, but it's been a bit more counter-attack.

They were choosing the wrong options for 30 minutes, but in the last five or 10 minutes they started to attack with numbers and pick the right pass.

  4. Arsenal chasing Murdykpublished at 21:01 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2023

Arsenal are in talks with Shakhtar Donetsk about the transfer of forward Mykhailo Mudryk.

The 22-year-old is one of the most highly rated young attackers in the game and has attracted interest from a number of clubs across Europe.

The Gunners have reportedly had a bid rejected for the Ukraine international but the two clubs are still in discussions about a possible deal.

Arsenal are in the market for a forward after the injury to Gabriel Jesus.

Manager Mikel Arteta has spoken about the need for the club to bring in the "right signings".

  5. Villa in for Morenopublished at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2023

There are a few moves simmering away at the moment in the Premier League.

One of those involves Aston Villa, who have agreed a deal to sign Real Betis left-back Alex Moreno for £13.2m.

The 29-year-old Spaniard will be Villa boss Unai Emery's first signing for the club.

Moreno, who was linked with a move to Nottingham Forest in the summer, has played in all but one of Betis' La Liga matches so far this season.

He is expected to undergo a medical in the next 48 hours before completing the formalities of the move.

The January transfer window has been open for 10 days, allowing clubs to once again splash the cash to improve their squads.

Premier League sides forked out £295m between them on recruits in January 2022 - the second-highest spending winter window in the competition's history.

The early signs are that this window will be similarly lavish, with some expensive deals secured within the first few days.

We have a dedicated transfers page that will keep you informed of every completed deal across the leagues.

But if you want a profile of every player who joins an English top-flight club, and a bit more context around their move, then look no further - and you can also judge whether you think it is a good or bad deal.

  7. Charlton fans are happypublished at 20:54 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2023

    Man Utd 1-0 Charlton

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

Those 9,000 travelling Charlton fans cheered their team off at the break.

It has been an impressive effort from Dean Holden's industrious side, even if it is difficult to see where an equaliser will come from.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:49 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2023

    Man Utd 1-0 Charlton

Antony's stunner is the difference at the break, but Charlton are still in this.

  9. Charlton 'working so hard'published at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2023

    Man Utd 1-0 Charlton

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Dean Holden is trying to give out as much information as possible and I think he'll be pleased to only be a goal down.

His team are working so hard defensively, and, as this game goes on, fatigue will make covering those distances difficult.

  10. CLOSE!published at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2023

    Man Utd 1-0 Charlton

Almost for Charlton just before the break as Sean Clare plays a dangerous ball towards the near post but Tom Heaton reads it well to save with Corey Blackett-Taylor waiting for the tap in.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2023

    Newcastle 0-0 Leicester

Newcastle burst out of the blocks and threatened to do to Leicester what they did at the King Power on Boxing Day.

But City somehow survived and slowly grew into the game without really testing Nick Pope.

It's all to play for in the second half.

  12. Alejandro Garnacho keen to impresspublished at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2023

    Man Utd 1-0 Charlton

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

Alejandro Garnacho has had a couple of left wing bursts that have threatened the Charlton defence but ended up coming to nothing.

The Argentina forward has been a regular presence in Erik ten Hag's side this season and has featured in all six games since the World Cup.

  13. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2023

    Man Utd 1-0 Charlton

Charlton's fans and players want a penalty as Corey Blackett-Taylor goes down under a robust challenge by Aaron Wan-Bissaka inside the area but nothing is given.

  14. Postpublished at 20:46 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2023

Newcastle ending the half as they started it.

Bruno Guimaraes stings the palms of Danny Ward with a shot from range.

  15. Postpublished at 20:45 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2023

    Newcastle 0-0 Leicester

    Oh, nearly!

Bruno Guimaraes' pass into the box is almost perfect for Joe Willock, but the Newcastle midfielder can't take it in his stride.

  16. Postpublished at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2023

    Man Utd 1-0 Charlton

The rain has finally stopped falling over Old Trafford as half time approaches.

Charlton will be happy to get in at 1-0 down. They've had a couple of decent breaks but haven't really given Tom Heaton much to worry about.

  17. Postpublished at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2023

    Newcastle 0-0 Leicester

Miguel Almiron remains Newcastle's most lively attacking threat.

He beats a man on the right, cutting in on to his right foot before curling a shot straight at Danny Ward.

Newcastle need better depth and an actual top striker. Isak may be that in time but Wilson never will be. he’s a mid table striker at best.

Leicester need to be attacking those wide channels against this Newcastle side who defend very narrow.

  19. Postpublished at 20:42 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2023

    Newcastle 0-0 Leicester

First sight of Newcastle looking sharp going forward for a while.

Bruno Guimaraes' chipped ball to the byline is almost steered back across goal by the darting Miguel Almiron, but Wilfried Ndidi does his job well to stop him.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:40 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2023

    Newcastle 0-0 Leicester

A sign of Leicester's growing presence in the game is Dan Burn stepping across and fouling Timothy Castagne to prevent him breaking and earning himself a yellow card.

Early on, Newcastle were quicker to everything. Not so now.
