  2. Klopp will be 'over the moon'published at 20:40 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2023

    HT: Wolves 0-1 Liverpool

    Paul Ince
Former Liverpool and Wolves midfielder on BBC One

A lovely goal, I am pleased for the lad Harvey Elliott. He has played some nice touches and a fantastic strike.

Liverpool are jumping on Wolves all the time, you think sometimes the hosts should go long.

Jurgen Klopp will be over the moon, some questioned the starting line-up but they have been fantastic in every department.

  3. Elliott a 'bright talent'published at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2023

    HT: Wolves 0-1 Liverpool

    Danny Murphy
Former Liverpool midfielder on BBC One

The intensity has been good from Liverpool, I was worried about the line-up before the game but I was wrong.

Wolves have been poor, some of the players need to show the manager what they are capable of but Liverpool have been at it.

Harvey Elliott is a bright talent and a really positive strike. He is full of confidence and showing off his ability but I don't know what the goalkeeper is playing at.

For Wolves, they are at home, you want to get the fans behind you and you need to get options into the box.

    West Brom 1-0 Chesterfield

Grady Diangana lets fly as West Brom look to go in at the break with at least a two-goal advantage over Chesterfield.

But Lucas Covolan makes a big save to deny him.

  5. Liverpool look stronger than Wolvespublished at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2023

    HT: Wolves 0-1 Liverpool

    Alan Shearer
Former England striker on BBC One

Without Liverpool looking too dangerous themselves, it's them who are looking like the better team there is no doubt about that. They have passed it better, got into better positions and of course that wonderful strike from Harvey Elliott, top quality that was.

David Manning: Pretty sure Tsimikas has fouled Adama Traore at least 3x now, wonder what the tactic will be for handling Traore if Tsimikas gets booked at some stage.

    Wolves 0-1 Liverpool

Not the best few minutes for Adama Traore, failing to hit the target with that shot and now into the book for hauling down Kostas Tsimikas.

    Deadlock broken at The Hawthorns.

Chesterfield fail to clear their lines and Jake Livermore works back onto Jamie Grimes' poor attempt at clearing the danger.

The ball's worked to John Swift who makes no mistake inside the area.

Christian Ballantyne: This is really positive. Thiago and Keita surrounded by energetic runners and this makeshift front three pressing properly, the kids are alright.

    Wolves 0-1 Liverpool

Poor, very poor, from Adama Traore.

The Wolves winger times his run and is played in, Kostas Tsimikas ain't going to catch him but the shot is well wide of the near post.

  17. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 17 January 2023

    Wolves 0-1 Liverpool

Lovely finish from Fabio Carvalho, confidently stroked home, but he is a mile offside.

Don't need VAR for that one.

We've only had one bit of quality in this match so far and it was pretty special from Harvey Elliott but other than that it has been scrappy.

Liverpool press high and the Wolves goalkeeper kicks the ball out for a corner.

The Portugal keeper is all over the place at the moment, needs to clear his head.
