Harry Wilson could have had a hat-trick! This is even closer than his last effort. Again, he cuts inside onto his left foot, drops a shoulder and fires it inches past the far corner.

Harry Wilson's chest control is a bit heavy when he's picked out in the box by Carlos Vinícius but he manages to keep it in and chip it back into the middle. There's nobody there though and Sunderland can clear.

Carlos Vinícius tries to flick it over the head of Dan Ballard near the halfway line. The Sunderland defender is penalised for handball as he tries to block it.

Sunderland don't have that focal point in attack so they have to play in a different way.

Fulham are doing a good job of keeping a shape and making it difficult for Sunderland to play through them.

Oooh Harry Wilson fancied a second. He wins it back high up the pitch and dances into the box. He tries to roll it into the bottom corner but it's comfortable for the goalkeeper in the end.

Manor Solomon cuts in off the left but he's got no way through with Dan Ballard and Trai Hume blocking his sight of goal.

He drives to the byline instead and cuts it back but Anthony Patterson is able to gather it in.

Sunderland are seeing a bit more of the ball now. This is the goal that separates the teams at the moment. Can they find a response?

That was an opportunity for Sunderland on the counter. I thought Ba should have shot and then it wasn't really on for Diallo.

It was sloppy from Fulham giving it away in a dangerous area.

Here is a break from Sunderland! Abdoullah Ba has space through the middle. He hesitates while deciding whether to shoot or lay it off to Amad Diallo. In the end, he goes for the latter.

Diallo then tees up Patrick Roberts but he completely scuffs it. Chance missed!

Sunderland would expect Fulham to dominate possession, they are the Premier League team.

It's up to Sunderland to get the ball back and break quickly.

Over 15 minutes gone at Stadium of Light and it's been played mainly in Sunderland's half with Fulham controlling the ball.

They haven't created too much since Harry Wilson's goal though.

Abdoullah Ba tries to bundle his way into the Fulham box but he goes down when a few tackles come in and he can't keep his balance.

Fulham have controlled possession early and put some good crosses into the box.

Sunderland can't panic, though, there's plenty of time to get back in it.

The home fans are on their feet in tribute of army veteran Chris Collier, who was a well-known Sunderland fan and passed away recently.

Exactly the start Marco Silva would have been looking for.

Sunderland fail to clear and it's an intelligent lay-off from Carlos Vinicius to Wilson.

That's a fantastic finish and it's just the pace that takes it through.

A brilliant start for Fulham.

Sunderland will be disappointed with that goal. They had chances to clear it in the box before it fell to Carlos Vinicius and Harry Wilson was left unmarked.

I'm looking forward to seeing Diallo. We're starting to see why Manchester United paid so much money for him.

I like him in a more central position rather than off the right but he'll drift out there to link with Roberts and the full-back.

Ooh. Luke Harris almost pokes it through to Harry Wilson on the edge of the Sunderland box but Edouard Michut gets a crucial touch on it.

Fulham come back again as it's played over the top to Manor Solomon. He shoots and Dan Ballard has to slide in to make a huge block.

It's a bright start by Sunderland. They work it out from the back nicely and Edouard Michut carries it through the middle. He's eventually pulled back by Carlos Vinicius to win a free-kick.
