Here's how things are looking at the top of the league before Arsenal take on West Ham later this evening (18:45 GMT).

Chelsea once again return to the number one spot while Manchester United drop to second after their draw against Everton and Arsenal could replace Manchester City in third with victory later on.

Barely anything to separate these lot at the moment...

Earlier today Chelsea came out on top in the London derby, beating Spurs 3-2 to return to the top of the league.

Well this is how that result leaves things at the bottom half of the WSL.

Reading remain just four points off Leicester at the bottom of the table while Liverpool jump up to eighth with a much needed three points this afternoon.

That also has ramifications for Tottenham, who recorded another defeat earlier today to Chelsea and are at risk of getting dragged into a relegation scrap.

Well not the result that looked likely at the half-way point but Liverpool have come out on top in a big battle at the bottom of the table.

They'll be delighted to have given themselves that cushion. A disappointing afternoon for the visitors.

Liverpool have got this one all but wrapped up as both sides try to get a foot on the ball. Ceri Holland tries to take the ball to the corner flag to see the game out and gets a bit of a shove for her efforts.

Katie Stengel, who has been quiet today, makes way for youngster Sofie Lundgaard.

We'll have four minutes added on.

Reading have a corner with minutes left on the clock. It's a sea of red in the box and Taylor Hinds gets a head on it to clear.

Ohh nervy moment for Jacqueline Burns as she fumbles the ball and Liverpool look to take advantage but she eventually manages to smother the ball and avert the danger.

On comes new girl Miri Taylor for Liverpool, she'll only have five minutes or so to impress but the versatile midfielder can play across a few different positions so it could be interesting to see where Matt Beard puts her for these final few minutes.

Missy Bo Kearns makes way.

Liverpool obviously very happy to just run down the clock. Rachel Laws takes her time over her goal kick.

Opportunity for Reading but Rachel Rowe had juts drifted offside.

Just less than 10 minutes plus added time to go in this battle at the bottom of the table.

It's all a bit back and forth at the moment, neither side can sustain a decent spell of possession.

Liverpool have really switched it on this half but Reading can still be dangerous on the counter attack.

They just haven't quite managed to build a decent opportunity yet.

Ah and now a Liverpool change.

Melissa Lawley makes way for the experience of Yana Daniels.

Here come the Reading changes.

Tia Primmer is on for Jade Moore and Tinaya Alexander comes on to make her first appearance since joining in January, she replaces Sanne Troelsgaard.

Two surprising changes there with two of the visitors' best players departing.

Liverpool have definitely grown in confidence since that opener and they are well on top now.

Megan Campbell again with the massive throw-in and it's straight onto the head of Katie Stengel who nods just wide.

She will feel she could've done better with that.

Those throw-ins are just ridiculous.

Liverpool have struggled for goals all season but they have scored two very important goals in the space of five second-half minutes.

Reading are going to have to dig deep to find something here.
