    Liverpool 0-0 Reading

Reading have the chance to break again as Emma Mukandi carries the ball through the midfield but it's nipped away by Liverpool.

These two sides are very closely matched but the game has been lacking some quality really.

    Liverpool 0-0 Reading

Megan Campbell launches in an absolute monster throw-in into the box but Reading force it out wide to Melissa Lawley.

She fizzes one in but it just won't drop for a Liverpool player to get a decent shot off.

    Liverpool 0-0 Reading

A Liverpool corner amounts to nothing and Reading have the chance to break. Emma Harries received it on the left-hand side but her ball into the box was cut out by a Liverpool shirt.

The visitors are struggling for a decent option in front of goal and that has been pretty evident in this game.

  5. Postpublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Reading

What a run from Melissa Lawley she absolutely put the burners on and shook off two or three Reading players.

She played in Ceri Holland who got the shot off but she couldn't find the target.

    Better signs from Liverpool.

  6. Postpublished at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Reading

Reading are looking the more settled side at the moment.

Matt Beard doesn't look too fussed in the home side's dugout.

  7. KICK-OFFpublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2023

We're ready to go for the second half on Merseyside.

Former England midfielder on BBC Two

I think Chelsea would have expected that, they have played Spurs recently and know they are always competitive. I think with Chelsea they usually have another level to go to and they don't always go there.

They tried to manage the game in gear two and that is what allowed Spurs to stick around today.

  10. 'I'm loving my football'published at 15:01 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2023

    FT: Tottenham 2-3 Chelsea

    Chelsea

More from Lauren James to BBC Two: "It was brilliant coming away with a win. It wasn't easy. Tottenham put up a great fight. It was a scrappy pitch, a scrappy game and we're happy to come out on top."

On if she's happy with her football: "I'm loving it. Credit to Emma and the team. They've allowed me to be myself and grow gradually, they haven't forced anything. They've allowed me to be at my best."

On if being top of the table gives Chelsea momentum: "We need to build on that and keep going, not getting complacent. We need to keep taking each game as it comes and focus on the next game and not the games [further] in front.

  11. 'We had to grind out a result'published at 14:59 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2023

    FT: Tottenham 2-3 Chelsea

    Chelsea

Chelsea manager Emma Hayes, speaking to BBC Two: "I thought it was a scrappy game. The pitch made the conditions like that. I thought in the first half we didn't create enough depth to have the control we wanted, I felt we played ourselves into trouble.

"It's one of those games that you know across the course of the season you've got to grind out a result. The important thing was the three points. Was it perfect? No. But it is about three points and we did enough for that to happen."

On conceding a late goal: "It was just sloppy. I thought it was sloppy from us defensively. Both goals we could've prevented as a result of us switching off. We can control those things and we as a team have to be mindful of that.

"This is a tough league and to everybody who thinks it's going to be near-perfect performances, it's not. It's going to be a grind to the end and I'm happy to have three points."

On if being top of the table relieves pressure: "The position is still the same. We've got tough fixtures coming up and we just need to stay focused on our journey, our process."

On Lauren James: "She's fantastic but she's got to learn some other things like the last parts of the game getting back into position, that's for me to deal with with her. On the ball she's outstanding but we need to be patient. She needs to keep developing both sides [of her game]."

  12. 'There is a lot to take from the performance'published at 14:55 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2023

    FT: Tottenham 2-3 Chelsea

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Rehanne Skinner, speaking to BBC Two: "I think we have improved from the last game we played against i thought we controlled parts of the game better than we did last time. Really pleased with the two goals performance wise it is getting better and better every week, disappointed with the result naturally but I was really pleased with the belief we showed going right to the end.

"I think we stayed in the game the whole time and that is a big step forward and something for us to build on.

"I think it is about taking the positives out of the performance and the way we are growing as a team and with the new players coming in. If you are looking at the performances we are putting in there is a lot to take from that."

Now that we've actually got 15 minutes with no live football, let's get some reaction to Chelsea's win over Tottenham...

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:52 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Reading

All square at the break, neither side able to break the deadlock.

It's been intense but Reading lacking goal threat and Liverpool have struggled to build momentum with those injuries.

    Better from Liverpool.

They build from the back with some decent passes down the right-hand side but the delivery in to Katie Stengel isn't quite right.

The home side have struggled to provide her with any real opportunities.

  16. Postpublished at 14:49 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Reading

Liverpool are getting a bit over run in midfield. They have got new signing Miri Taylor on the bench, will be perhaps see the midfielder in the second half?

  17. Postpublished at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Reading

    Ahh missed opportunity for Reading.

Sanne Troelsgaard advances into the box from the right and she has the option to pull the trigger herself but opts to square instead of shoot from the wide angle. She was clearly in two minds about that one and doesn't quite get the pass right, allowing Liverpool to clear.

Five minutes of added on time.

  18. Postpublished at 14:45 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Reading

Megan Campbell is fine to carry on and she picks up the ball in midfield and carries it towards goal but can't find an opening.

It's been given away sloppily by both sides in this game, neither side has managed to sustain a decent period of possession.

  19. Postpublished at 14:42 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Reading

    Well they're dropping like flies.

Megan Campbell is the latest to need treatment from the physios, she hobbles off the pitch but looks like she's going to try and come back on.

  20. Postpublished at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Reading

Cerri Holland looks fine to carry on with seven or so minutes to go until the break.

I imagine we'll have a decent wedge of added time, though, with the stoppages we've had so far.
