  1. 'Good supporters support when it's bad'published at 17:28 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2023

    FT: Brighton 4-0 West Ham

    West Ham United

West Ham boss David Moyes told BBC Sport: "What went wrong? I'd have to give some praise to Brighton, but we lost a terrible first goal. We should easily have dealt with it. And the second was from a corner kick, so we found we were climbing a mountain.

"There was anger from everybody. Anger from the supporters, anger from the manager, the players are angry, they're disappointed with themselves. That's the way it's got to be - we're not accepting what's happened today. We're going to try to do something about it, to make sure the next performance is better. It's sore just now. We'll look at it and move on again."

On the fans: "We need them behind us. Good supporters support when it's bad as well as good. And for the past few years it's been really good here.

"If we'd won today it would've made us feel a lot easier. We're probably all looking at around 40 points to stay away from the bottom of the league, but the only thing you can do is take each game as it comes."

  2. 'We were close but it wasn't enough'published at 17:26 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2023

    FT: Chelsea 1-0 Leeds

    Leeds United

Leeds manager Javi Gracia to BBC Sport: "I think we were close and competed well in the game. They started well and dominated the game in the first 15 minutes. They have clear chances but after that it was our moment. We created chances as well and didn't score.

"The second half was more equal. The goal came from a corner kick where they are really strong. My team fought until the end. If you are unlucky you don't do it.

"It's the same in the last game we played in the FA Cup. We created 15 shots, 12 of them were on target and we have to improve. We are creating away from home and have many chances to score.

"It's part of work, confidence, luck - combining all these things. I hope we can improve on this in the future.

"In the first 15 minutes it was tough for us. We had to defend in a low block but we were consistent for most of it and were compact. We were improving until the end. We were close but it wasn't enough.

"Now we are thinking about the next game with all the confidence we can and with the support of our fans, we know we are able to get points."

  3. 'It's a relief'published at 17:24 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2023

    FT: Wolves 1-0 Tottenham

    Wolves

Wolves captain Ruben Neves: "When you suffer a lot for the team, when you run a lot for the team, when everyone is giving 100% for the team it's a relief. We worked really hard to get the three points today. Fortunately we have some time to rest now, some massive games ahead.

"Congratulations to all the players, all the fans and all the staff. Today was about believing about ourselves in the second half."

On the relegation battle: "We are in the middle of a war, playing every single game as a final. There are eight or nine teams fighting for the same thing. We are not the worst when you lose a game and we are not the best when we win. Let's get ready for the next match, that's the most important thing."

  4. 'Days like this win the title'published at 17:23 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2023

    Arsenal 3-2 Bournemouth

    Ashley Williams
Former Wales captain on Final Score

I think we've seen a team worthy of winning the Premier League.

We keep questioning them because of recent histrory and they keep answering us.

Mikel Arteta is so focussed and driven. Days like this win you the title. If they win it, they've deserved it.

  5. 'Really disappointing week'published at 17:22 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2023

    FT: Wolves 1-0 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham striker Harry Kane: "It's been tough, a really disappointing week. All we can do is look forward now.

"We have 12 or 13 games now to push for that top four place. The games come around quick and we have to look to the next one."

On Newcastle dropping points: "Yeah, if we won today we would've been in a really good spot with the last third of the season to play.

"There's still going to be points dropped and we need to concentrate on ourselves and finish as strong as possible."

  6. 'We need moments like this'published at 17:19 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2023

    FT: Arsenal 3-2 Bournemouth

    Arsenal

Arsenal match winner Reiss Nelson, speaking to MOTD: “When the ball came out to me I was thinking 'please give me one chance'. I'm buzzing, really happy. I controlled it with my right foot and it came onto my left.

"We need moments like this if we want to go all the way. We're not looking at any other team at the minute. We are focusing on ourselves. We will keep going day-by-day, game-by-game. As an Arsenal fan, I'm just delighted with the result."

  7. 'Both teams are desperate for a win'published at 17:18 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2023

    Southampton v Leicester (17:30 GMT)

Both of these teams had an absolute shocker in the FA Cup in midweek, losing at home to lower division sides.

Southampton's defeat by League Two side Grimsby is the more damaging one for their manager, because Ruben Selles has only just started out.

But Leicester's result was awful as well. They were second-best for long periods of their game against Blackburn and got what they deserved. The FA Cup could have rescued a miserable season for the Foxes, but not anymore.

So, both sets of fans will be sore after what has just happened and I don't think they will get much to give them a lift here either.

Both teams are desperate for a win, but I'm going for a draw.

    Sutton's prediction: 1-1

  8. 'It gives us something to build on'published at 17:17 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2023

    FT: Chelsea 1-0 Leeds

    Chelsea

Chelsea manager Graham Potter speaking to BBC Sport: "It is [massive]. Delighted for the players and supporters. We've had to suffer. It's been a challenging period. I thought we played well in the first half and attacked well. We were a team who had something to lose so it was great character from the players, they cared and showed togetherness in the team. It gives us something to build on.

"People care. Players want to win and supporters want us to do well. 1-0 in the Premier League, anything can happen, when you consider the run we're on, it's not surprising [there were nerves]. The players fought for the win and it allows us to keep moving forward.

"Wesley Fofana has been a big miss for us. He's one of the players who has been out for a while. He is physical, brave with the ball and does what he does well in the box which is attack the ball. It gave us a win.

"Ben Chilwell has been working really hard and contributed in a good way in the first half in how he attacked.

"We just have to focus on the game. You can't control what the noise is outside. It's a huge game for us [on Tuesday] and a huge opportunity. We have to fight for it.

"Every game is important. It's a confidence boost and a morale boost. We have a massive game on Tuesday night."

  9. 'We had belief to win the game'published at 17:15 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2023

    FT: Chelsea 1-0 Leeds

    Leeds United

Leeds defender Luke Ayling to PLP: "We felt like we came here and played OK in spells but to let in a goal by a set-piece is always disappointing.

"They have good players, know how to play football and yeah they're going through a tough spell, but they are a good team. They caused us problems but I felt we did OK to slow them down a little bit.

"We spoke about those problems at half-time and did OK in the second half. We could have marked tighter for the goal. It's always disappointing to lose to a set-piece.

"We've been playing well in the last few games and we had belief to win the game. We created some good chances and probably could have come away with a draw.

"Our front players have been doing really well. We have five or six injured players with lots of experience so hopefully we can get them back in the next few weeks. It's down to the whole squad."

  10. 'It's a good feeling'published at 17:14 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2023

    FT: Chelsea 1-0 Leeds

    Chelsea

Chelsea defender Wesley Fofafa to BBC Sport: "I feel good, I scored today, the team won and a clean sheet. A very good day.

"Yesterday in training we worked on set-pieces and today I scored one. It's a good feeling.

"The timing of the run was good. I worked on that.

"Not nerves but excitement for the win, the fans and the club. It is a difficult situation but everyone in the club pushes for a win.

"It's not a problem. Every player is an attacker or a defender. Today it is me but in other games, every player can score.

"I hope so. Just push, work and try to win every game. That's it."

  11. 'The jigsaw is coming together'published at 17:14 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2023

  12. 'Palace disallowed goal gave us kick up the backside'published at 17:13 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2023

FT: Aston Villa 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn: "It was good. A little bit of mixed emotions. I know we're getting a little bit greedy after three points but when they go down to 10 men, we have to adapt better. We didn't play well after that.

"We ground out the three points. I'm sure the manager won't be pleased with the second-half performance but it's a win and we've been craving a win here for a while.

"Great to get the three points and it gives us an opportunity to look up and not down."

On Palace's disallowed goal: "It gave us a kick up the backside, it was a tight one - I thought it was on at the time but VAR don't get the offside ones wrong so thankfully that went in our favour. After that we had a decent first-half performance.

"That's all it was: decent. We can't get carried away and we need to play a lot better than if we're going to get three points at West Ham."

On Villa's goal: "The manger was trying to get myself, Emi Buendia and Jacob Ramsey into those spaces and use the full-backs. Sometimes he wants them to stay but today he wanted them to get forward.

"Great run from Matty Cash and it made my pass easy."

On West Ham in the next game: "It's always a tough place to go, it's somewhere that we've not managed to get a result in a while but if we win that then who knows what can happen."

  13. 'Great moment for me'published at 17:12 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2023

    FT: Arsenal 3-2 Bournemouth

    Arsenal

Arsenal's match winner Reiss Nelson: "It's amazing. When the ball came out to me I eyed it up. Everyone went crazy when it went in. It's a great moment for me. I have been here all my life and it means a lot to me. I'm just happy. I'm delighted."

    Southampton v Leicester (17:30 GMT)

It's tight at the bottom of the Premier League table.

Bottom side Southampton host Leicester, who are 15th, in today's late game. But there are only six points between the sides.

A Saints win would take them up to 19th, or even 18th if it was a big victory.

Leicester would actually move up to 12th if they win.
