  6. Beleaguered Well seek solace in Fifepublished at 14:15 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2023

    Raith Rovers v Motherwell (15:00)

Today's tie at Stark's Park is where most will expect to see a surprise in the last 16.

Motherwell are in wretched form in the Scottish Premiership and their only win so far in 2023 came in the previous round of the Scottish Cup.

Contrast that with hosts Raith Rovers, who are unbeaten in 11 games in all competition.

The last meeting of these two teams was in 2007, a 3-1 League Cup win for Well.

  7. Second chance for Invernesspublished at 14:12 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2023

    Livingston v Inverness CT (15:00)

Inverness Caledonian Thistle are the visitors at Livingston but did not expect to be.

The Highlanders lost 2-0 to Queen's Park in round four but the result was overturned to a win for Inverness after Queen's Park fielded an ineligible player.

Livi would likely be happy to play anyone right now, given their form. Only Celtic have beaten David Martindale's side so far in 2023.

However, Inverness left the Tony Macaroni Arena with a win back in July when the sides met in the League Cup first round group stage.

    Dundee Utd v Kilmarnock (15:00)

Scottish Premiership rivals Dundee United and Kilmarnock meet for the fifth time in all competitions this season, having also played each other in the League Cup this term.

Killie have the upper hand with two wins but United defeated the Ayrshire side in their last encounter at Tannadice. Their first encounter this season was a draw.

The visitors have already been to Hampden once this season in the League Cup and are eager to do likewise in the Scottish Cup. For United, survival in the Premiership is the priority but a cup run is always welcome.
