Watford defender Wesley Hoedt, speaking to Sky Sports: "We have so much quality on the pitch and there was only one team who deserved to win.

"It was about keeping your head, keeping calm and keeping the pitch small. Sometimes we made the pitch too large and that made it easier for them to play.

"It's quite clear that we need to win all the games. We had a great game at Burnley and maybe deserved a little bit more. This result is good for confidence and we have to go on to the next one."

Ismaila Sarr also missed a penalty and scored a David Beckham-style chip when these sides met at The Hawthorns earlier this season.

If they can play their way back into the play-off picture, West Brom might be hoping Watford aren't waiting for them.

Those 45 minutes were a complete contrast to the first period. The Baggies must be sick of the sight of Ismaila Sarr, who scored against them for the second time this season and set up Ken Sema's winner - his second strike of the night - with 12 minutes remaining.

West Brom showed so much more intent after the break but stay four points off the hallowed places. A mention for Jayson Molumby, who set up both of their goals as they almost took a point.

Joao Pedro is adjudged to have been fouled, then offers a few choice words to Jed Wallace, who appeared to bring him down clumsily but with minimal malice.

The Brazilian receives a talking-to for his trouble.

Exactly what Watford would have wanted from the newly-introduced Britt Assombalonga, who breaks away down the left, briefly looks like he might go for broke towards goal and ends up winning a corner on the left.

If his side could keep this in the corner for four minutes, they undoubtedly would.

There will be six minutes of added time, which is a vast amount in the context of a second half that has been full of action and drama.

We're on course to continue West Brom's rut in a result that will push Watford into the top six. But you wouldn't count on the result staying as it is.

Britt Assombalonga replaces Keinan Davis, who will feel he should have scored at least once tonight.

Josh Griffiths does brilliantly to stop Keinan Davis from scoring a fourth for Watford, steaming in to meet a cross from the right with a powerful shot that the goalkeeper somehow paws out from his line!

As is now the nature of this unpredictable game, West Brom go straight to the other end, where Jed Wallace blasts a low shot at a defender.
