Darnell Furlong turns a corner behind for another one with Wesley Hoedt and Ryan Porteous up and lurking inside the penalty area for Watford.

West Brom are clearly keen to keep those two at bay, with the amount of tussling inside the penalty area noticeable whenever deliveries go in.

Joao Pedro releases Ken Sema with a low ball inside the penalty, winning a corner after Dara O'Shea diverts his attempted cross behind.

Jed Wallace scampers away down the right for West Brom and finds John Swift in space inside the penalty area, who lofts a shot comfortably over the crossbar.

Then play is pulled back and Wesley Hoedt is booked for a foul.

That goal has really invigorated Watford.

Joao Pedro produces a lovely piece of skill to warn space on the left, setting in motion an attack that moves from one side to the other and culminates in a corner for his side on that flank.

West Brom partially clear, then Ryan Porteous goes for the acrobatic as a cross comes back in, arcing his attempt just wide from inside the penalty area on the left.

Ismaila Sarr has a sight of goal as Watford seize the momentum afforded to them by that goal.

He wastes the opportunity - but the volume levels, as you might expect, have risen considerably with that goal, which has put the hosts on course for the time six for the time bing.

It's amazing what a goal does, now Watford are playing with a swagger and it's important Albion don't let a second go in.

Best chance so far! Marc Albrighton is the creator again, finding space on an overlap on the right and locating Brandon Thomas-Asante with a cross to the near post, who nods well wide.

Marc Albrighton makes another promising run down the right and angles a delivery towards the intended target of Jed Wallace, against whom an offside flag is up.

That goes some way towards summarising West Brom's attacks so far, while Watford have worked the ball around in the middle third of the pitch without producing much that you could describe as incisive.

It's a little subdued and tense here at Vicarage Road, as you might expect with play-off places up for grabs tonight.

Both sides are matching each other in the early stages. Once or twice both teams have given silly passes away and lost possession.

You can tell there's a lot at stake this evening.

Not for the first time tonight, Joao Pedro tries to combine with Keinan Davis on the right channel.

Davis then swings a cross-field pass out of play.

Daniel Bachmann has to be off his line sharply to deal with a ball that lands dangerously on the edge of his penalty area.

That will have given the home fans a moment of anxiety, although their goalkeeper showed solid footing and cleared confidently.

Ryan Porteous has to see the danger away deep in Watford territory on their left after a brilliant bit of skill by Jed Wallace to nutmeg Wesley Hoedt on the touchline.

Darrell Furlong then slings a dangerous cross into the penalty area from the same flank, but Brandon Thomas-Asante looks a little isolated in there and the danger fizzles out.

Slaven Bilic shared a hug and a few words of wisdom with opposite number Carlos Corberan before the off here.

The game has settled down since that early attack by Marc Albrighton, but now West Brom have a first set-piece to defend.

Keinan Davis is fouled by Nathaniel Chalobah, and the visitors head the resulting free-kick from a central position just outside the box behind.

West Brom start well - and directly. Marc Albrighton has plenty of space on the right after a ball is launched to him almost directly from kick-off, and he fizzes in a cross that Daniel Bachmann gathers comfortably enough after it loops up off Ryan Porteous's attempt to intervene.
