The FA really need to do more about players surrounding the ref, it's not a good look for football especially players trying to get other players booked or sent off it wrong.

    Rocket

City certainly lucky not to be down to 10 men there, but the way Henderson tried to intimidate the ref was far more unpleasant.

As a fan watching this game, that's a yellow card, all day long that's a second yellow card.

It's a confusing one for me.

How many of them do you see that get a yellow card?

    Man City 1-1 Liverpool

Liverpool's threat is very much on the counter. They catch City again to set Mohamed Salah away, but he initially lacks team-mates in the box and then dwells a fraction too long on the ball, allowing the home side to get back and crowd him out.

How is Rodri still on the pitch? Nailed on second yellow

Liverpool want to see a second yellow for Rodri here.

The City midfielder trips Cody Gakpo, prompting Reds players to surround Simon Hooper. Is it really a bookable offence, though? Hooper doesn't think so and makes that clear.

The daft thing is, you can imagine that Rodri would probably have been booked for it, if he hadn't already been booked.

Van Dijk looks a spent force. Just lets players run past him with the ball and then blames everyone else. Doesn't even look bothered. Maybe worth cashing in?

If Liverpool are going to be in contention next season, they desperately need a RB

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is, to say the least, frustrated by some aspects his team's display. He called assistant Pep Lijnders for a very animated chat and then had a very lengthy conversation with substitute James Milner after Manchester City's equaliser.

    Oh, almost brilliant!

Riyad Mahrez dances past tackles as he cuts inside from the right. His cute pass into the box is too clever for everyone, including team-mate Julian Alvarez, who can't react quickly enough to take advantage.

No Haaland but Alvarez steps up!

That was just a magnificent goal again. Mahrez drove that through the middle of the pitch perfectly.

It was a simple tap in for Alvarez and it had Haaland up on his feet celebrating!

    Lovely goal!

City work the ball to the right and then across the edge of the Liverpool box. It reaches Jack Grealish and his low ball is converted with ease by Julian Alvarez.

In the stands, Erling Haaland leaps around like a big kid. Passion overriding injury.

    Take a bow, Jack Grealish!

Liverpool clear a City corner and suddenly they are away. Mohamed Salah has clear space in which to run, with Diogo Jota for company and Jack Grealish desperately tracking.

The Egyptian looks to pass to Jota but Grealish intercepts.

For a second, it looks like Cody Gakpo might have a chance to reach a loose ball in the City box. He is beaten to it by Ederson and then the flag goes up. Looks like the Dutch forward knew he was offside too.
