Hi. I'm sorry, Villa fans, but one OK season doesn't make you a European status club. Half a good season for Ollie Watkins doesn't make him a European class striker. You don't look great against mediocre Fulham tonight. Enjoy the fact that you're not fighting relegation battle as per usual.

Agree with anonymous texter at 21:15. Really like Watkins, he'a got really good all round play and a decent enough knack for scoring goals. But when he's through one-on-one I always fancy the keeper. A good premier league player, but the top 6 won't be looking at him.

  2. PENALTY TO WOLVESpublished at 21:20 British Summer Time 25 April 2023

    Wolves 1-0 Crystal Palace

Sam Johnstone's awful first touch presents the ball to Pedro Neto, who Johnstone then fouls and Wolves have a penalty.

    Chance to wrap this up!

    Leeds 1-0 Leicester

Leeds have had the best chance of the second half but you sense Leicester are growing into the game.

Leicester are starting to have some really good spells of possession and Leeds are dropping deeper and deeper.

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:20 British Summer Time 25 April 2023

    Leeds 1-0 Leicester

Kelechi Iheanacho is played in by James Maddison. He is one-on-one with Liam Cooper and tries to go around him. He does and Cooper sticks a leg out to bring him down. It's a yellow card for the Leeds captain and a very good free-kick position for James Maddison...

Wolves are almost there. They've just got five minutes of time added on to get through.

    Aston Villa 1-0 Fulham

Ollie Watkins lashes over at the near post before Dan James is fouled by Ashley Young as Fulham threaten a break. It has, finally, opened up a bit.

Just over 15 minutes to go.

I'm a Leeds fan, unlike Masive Leeds supporter, I believe we don't deserve to stay up. Awful from top to bottom. Horrendous season. Embarrassing.

A really open game here in the last five minutes. Palace pushing for an equaliser and leaving lots of space when they go forward.

    Leeds 1-0 Leicester

Timothy Castagne drills a ball in from the right. Wout Faes gets a flick on it, Kelechi Iheanacho initially appeared to keep it in play and tees up Harvey Barnes. He blasts it over the bar but the whistle eventually goes for a goal kick as the ball had already gone out of play.

I'm still not sold on Watkins. Strikes me as a Theo Walcott type player. The odd purple-patch here and there, but overall an average finisher. Still a decent 1 in 3 sort of striker, but not the goal machine people seem to think he is. Maybe he'll bag another tonight to prove any lingering doubters like me wrong!

Leicester build a bit of pressure and Leeds can't quite get it out. Illan Meslier has had a quiet night in goal so far but Leicester are trying to find an opening.

    Aston Villa 1-0 Fulham

Aston Villa play the ball backwards and Unai Emery is fuming, he urges his side forward. This is a real chance to pick up three big points but they are sitting back and perhaps being too cautious now.

A quick goal for Leeds now could be enough to seal the game.

Anywhere will do for Wolves as they look to try and hang onto the three points. Could end up a case of the commentators course but Crystal Palace, despite more possession now, don't really look like scoring.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:11 British Summer Time 25 April 2023

    Leeds 1-0 Leicester

And now Marc Roca is in the book for a clawing tackle on James Maddison from behind.

Come on Leeds. Pull another goal in and secure our place in the premier league where we belong and have worked too hard to get in. Our brilliant squad have played beautifully this half and will do so in the second. Bring it home Leeds #mot

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:11 British Summer Time 25 April 2023

    Leeds 1-0 Leicester

Boubakary Soumare spends far too long on the ball and he's caught out. He tries to make amends but gives away a foul and he's on a yellow card now.

    Aston Villa 1-0 Fulham

Fulham have definitely given Aston Villa more to think about in this half and you can sense a bit of frustration in the crowd.

It hasn't been a good second half display by the hosts and Fulham could pinch something from this.

  20. 'Barnes pushed forward'published at 21:10 British Summer Time 25 April 2023

    Leeds 0-1 Leicester

    Paul Robinson

It's interesting to watch how Leicester have come out. Harvey Barnes is much higher up the pitch, he's almost alongside Kelechi Iheanacho.
