Imagine if Chelsea's two best chances had fallen to a proven goalscorer instead of N'Golo Kante and Marc Cucurella.

Chelsea have been on the front foot and created two fantastic chances. What they've done is certainly identified a glaring weakness down Real's left as Reece James is doing whatever he wants. If they continue to do that, chances will come, but they have to take them.

Courtois flew at him and blocked the shot, but you have to say he's got to lift that into the net and score.

And that's the end of the first half. Chelsea need two goals in 45 minutes against the champions of Europe otherwise they're out.

A massive chance for Chelsea right at the end of the half.

The cross comes in from Reece James and fizzes across the six yard box all the way to Marc Cucurella who takes one touch before lashing it towards the net only for Thibaut Courtois to save.

If Milan get to the semi-final, Sandro Tonali will miss the first leg. The midfielder is booked for a foul on Victor Osimhen.

An intriguing first half. We're going to have two additional minutes. Where is Chelsea's goal going to come from?
