Niall Ennis sends Home Park into rapture with a beautiful overhead kick to put Plymouth 1-0 ahead against 10-man Bristol Rovers.

That goal has Argyle back on top of the live table and puts them in sight of extending the league's best home record - 55 points from a possible 63 before tonight.

Elsewhere Kyle Joseph has doubled Oxford United's lead at home to Cheltenham to ease any lingering relegation fears even further.

  6. 'Burnley need to come out and play better'published at 20:55 British Summer Time 25 April 2023

    HT: Blackburn 0-0 Burnley

    Paul Weller
Former Burnley midfielder on BBC Radio Lancashire

I thought it was a very average half from Burnley.

They took their foot off the gas, I thought we didn't create enough opportunities to challenge the keeper.

I've seen Burnley play much better than this. They need to come out and play better. Blackburn have grown into this game.

  7. 'There to be won'published at 20:51 British Summer Time 25 April 2023

    HT: Blackburn 0-0 Burnley

    Kevin Gallacher
Former Blackburn striker on BBC Radio Lancashire

It's there to be won. We've seen a slight weakness when it goes into the box, Burnley players get very nervous.

Blackburn have got to conserve their energy a bit better when they're pressing.

The forwards are working their socks off but we've got to do it acutely. They showed the last five minutes of the half, when they do it properly that allows the defenders to get in positions to nick possession from Burnley and go on the counter attack.

Matches are beginning to get back under way in League One and League Two.

Some big second halves coming up for plenty of sides...

An entertaining, yet cagey, first half comes to an end.

Blackburn have certainly grown into this game but as yet they don't have anything to show for it.

Dare I say it, are Burnley letting their nerves get the better of them after Saturday's defeat by QPR?

    Blackburn 0-0 Burnley

There's a beautiful sunset outside Ewood Park this evening.

There's some fabulous football being played on the pitch, too.

But will the the sun start going down on Blackburn's play-off hopes come the 90th minute? Or will they make their pressure count and delay Burnley's Championship title party?

  11. Postpublished at 41 mins

    Blackburn 0-0 Burnley

Less than five minutes remaining in this first half and there's been plenty of action but no end product.

Blackburn do seem more comfortable towards the end of this half than they did at the beginning.

    Blackburn 0-0 Burnley

    Kevin Gallacher
Former Blackburn striker on BBC Radio Lancashire

Blackburn are not really making the set piece count, they are giving Burnley the opportunity.

You see what problems it causes in the Burnley area when you get a decent ball in there. There's so many bodies it could fall to anybody to get a shot on target.

    Blackburn 0-0 Burnley

From the free-kick that follows that yellow card, Blackburn play it short and Sammie Szmodics sends in a right-footed strike from the corner of the Burnley box.

The visitors put in a clearance and concede another corner which drifts into the box and is picked up by Lewis Travis and Blackburn win another corner at the other end.

Eventually, Dom Hyam shoots from the edge of the box as it pinballs around the box but it's caught by Clarets keeper Ari Muric.

Two huge goals at the head of this division on the stroke of half-time as Ipswich have taken a 2-0 lead at Barnsley.

Nathan Broadhead's near post flick from a corner beats Harry Isted and within two minutes George Hirst has lashed a second into the top corner on the break - Ipswich are top of the pile in the live league table. As it stands Barnsley will need to focus on the play-offs.

Plymouth are goalless against 10-man Bristol Rovers at the break, just three points ahead of Sheffield Wednesday in third.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 36 mins

    Blackburn 0-0 Burnley

Josh Brownhill goes into the book as Burnley pick up a yellow card.

It comes following a cynical lunging challenge on Adam Wharton.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 25 April 2023

    Plymouth Argyle 0-0 Bristol Rovers

    Brent Pilnick
    BBC Sport at Home Park

How Plymouth Argyle are not ahead at the break is anyone's guess.

They have had five excellent chances to score, but a combination of good goalkeeping and poor finishing sees them go into the break goalless with 10-man Bristol Rovers.

If they continue this dominance you feel the only way this game will end will be with a home win.

Sitting down? Accrington have taken a shock lead against the run of play at Bolton, who were seeking a club record 22nd clean sheet of the season tonight.

Ethan Hamilton's bouncing volley beats Wanderers keeper James Trafford to his left and goes in off the post.

League One's lowest away scorers have a priceless goal at a team who are seeking to move within a point of securing a play-off place.

Josh Sheehan almost leveled straight from the kick-off but Lukas Jensen produced a big save with his legs. Game on!

    Blackburn 0-0 Burnley

As we approach the half-hour mark, it's still goalless in this east Lancashire derby.

But it's not for lack of trying from both sides and it's end-to-end at Ewood Park right now.

Surely there's a goal in this before half-time.

It's a high tempo game. We've also just seen a bit of feistiness between Joe Rankin-Costello and Ashley Barnes.

You know right away this game does not go without being feisty. It's heating up a bit but it's been simmering for the last couple of hours.
