An incredibly disappointed Owen Coyle has also been giving his thoughts to BBC Scotland:

"Second half was nowhere near good enough," the Queen's Park head coach says. "You can lose a goal at any time, but I'm looking for a better reaction. I'm standing here embarrassed losing with the scoreline that we did.

"We need to be better - I can only apologise to the supporters. Chasing the game we left ourselves wide open. Credit to Partick Thistle, but I think we've got to defend those situations better.

"It's my responsibility - I'm the one that sends them out there. That's three teams that we've lost to that we'd beaten earlier in the season. There's one or two boys sat on the bench and never got on - if I was them I'd be banging my door down on Monday morning.

"We'll look to change things up, and give boys an opportunity that need one."

A very happy Thistle boss Kris Doolan has been speaking to BBC Scotland:

"I'm really proud," he said. "The first half was tight, but second half we knew we had to win the game, and the numbers we committed forwards in order to score the goals was fantastic.

"We're so assured defensively, but the movement up front as well is what drags them all over the place. It's a real team effort.

[On Kyle Turner's goal]: "It's absolutely brilliant. One touch passing, movement off the ball, and a real desire to get into the six-yard box to score goals.

"We know what the club should look like, and there's a real mentality that this place can go somewhere. I've been lucky enough to play in the team that was in the top six in the Premier League, so I know what the team should look like and the style of play to get us there."

Thistle midfielder and player of the match Kyle Turner has been talking to BBC Scotland:

"It's massive, and it was well deserved," he says. "Thankfully, I scored, because five minutes before that I should have scored, and it killed the game a bit.

"It was a wee bit frantic at 1-0, so just glad it went in to be honest. I thought the first goal was just as good. That's the way we work in training, we try to play, keep the ball on the deck.

"[Brian Graham] will be raging in there, he just wants to score goals. His link-up play was brilliant; all-round everybody was great tonight."

Queen's Park have been up there all season and Thistle have demolished them tonight.

It's a real statement - Thistle are right in the title race.

James McFadden has chosen Kyle Turner as his Player of the Match.

Turner was excellent in the middle of the park and thoroughly deserved his goal.

Four goal and three points for the hosts.

On the basis of that display, they are firmly in the running to return to the Scottish Premiership.

Kris Doolan's side go third in the Championship, just three points behind Queen's Park at the top of the table.

The visitors want a penalty after Marcel Oakley is bundled over inside the Thistle box, but referee Willie Collum is unmoved.

Having seen it again, that should have been a spot-kick.

Queen's Park desperately need a goal if they want to take anything from this game, but in truth, it's Thistle who look more likely.

They are looking to hit the league leaders on the break and you wouldn't back against them adding a third.

David Mitchell bangs his studs on his left-hand post to get some of the mud off his boots.

The Thistle goalie is in no rush to take this goal kick.

Brian Graham is replaced by Danny Mullen.

He has been absolutely superb up top for Thistle and is applauded off by the home crowd.

I can't stop watching that second goal.

It really is a beautiful team move - passing football at its very best.

There won't be many better than that across the Easter weekend.
