Kyle Turner reacts quickest after a scramble on the edge of the box and goes clean through on goal.

He does everything right, goes across the goalkeeper, but Ferrie sticks out a big left hand and diverts it over the bar.

Owen Coyle looks to his bench in an attempt to wrestle back a semblance of control.

Aaron Healy and Grant Savoury make way, replaced by Euan Henderson and Josh McPake.

I don’t know what Kris Doolan said at half-time, but it’s proving fruitful so far.

Thistle have looked rejuvenated, a new side almost. There is a freedom and fluency that was absent before the break.

Kyle Turner forces Stephen Eze to retreat back into his own box and the Thistle man then chops onto his left foot.

Brian Graham is lurking in the middle, but Turner's cross is overhit and goes behind for a goal-kick.

In fairness to the visitors, they have responded well to going behind.

Dom Thomas beats his man and fizzes a wonderful ball across the Thistle box - it comes to Connor Shields, but he can't sort his feet out and the chance goes begging.

At the other end, Calum Ferrie does well to punch a dangerous looking cross out of the danger zone.

The goal has sparked this game into life.

It's lovely play from Brian Graham, who takes the ball with his back to goal and flicks it in behind for Scott Tiffoney.

The Thistle number seven looks to be in on goal, but Marcel Oakley scrambles back goal-side to clear.

A few more shots would be nice, and maybe even a goal or two.

Queen's Park have had their moments but have lacked quality in the final third.

Sometimes you get a lack of quality, but because there's so much riding on the game, I think there probably is a hint of nervousness.

Both sides will be happy that it's still 0-0 and will know that they can play better in the second half.

Kyle Turner gets his head up and plays a beautiful slide-rule pass in behind Thomas Robson and releases Steven Lawless, but the Thistle midfielder's cross is just too far in front of Scott Tiffoney, who can only prod wide on the stretch.

In a word, no.

Grant Savoury is absolutely clattered by Ross Docherty and the Thistle captain picks up the first yellow card of the night.

Can Dom Thomas find the right delivery?

Floated in and that's easy for visiting goalkeeper Calum Ferrie to come and claim.

In games as tight and cagey as this, set-piece delivery needs to be on the money - that will disappoint manager Kris Doolan.

Down the other end, Scott Tiffoney does superbly to draw in Marcel Oakley before nicking the ball away from the Queen's Park full-back.
