  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 62 mins

    Partick Thistle 1-0 Queen's Park

Brilliant work from Calum Ferrie to keep Queen's Park in this game!

Kyle Turner reacts quickest after a scramble on the edge of the box and goes clean through on goal.

He does everything right, goes across the goalkeeper, but Ferrie sticks out a big left hand and diverts it over the bar.

    Two up top?

I don’t know what Kris Doolan said at half-time, but it’s proving fruitful so far.

Thistle have looked rejuvenated, a new side almost. There is a freedom and fluency that was absent before the break.

  5. CLOSE!published at 58 mins

    Partick Thistle 1-0 Queen's Park

Kyle Turner forces Stephen Eze to retreat back into his own box and the Thistle man then chops onto his left foot.

Brian Graham is lurking in the middle, but Turner's cross is overhit and goes behind for a goal-kick.

    Big chance...

In fairness to the visitors, they have responded well to going behind.

Dom Thomas beats his man and fizzes a wonderful ball across the Thistle box - it comes to Connor Shields, but he can't sort his feet out and the chance goes begging.

At the other end, Calum Ferrie does well to punch a dangerous looking cross out of the danger zone.

The goal has sparked this game into life.

I’m perched just behind the linesman and I’m just glad I’m not him!

By my untrained eye, that was awfy tight. By all accounts, a cracking call from the official.

We may just have a game on our hands…

    Kevin Holt

    A massive goal!

It's a lovely move as well - Brian Graham flicks one in behind for Scott Tiffoney, who I must admit looked offside on first viewing.

The Queen's defence stops, looking for a flag that never comes, and Tiffoney squares to Kevin Holt, who calmly finishes it off first-time at the back post.

The replays show that Marcel Oakley was playing Tiffoney on - it's a great call from the linesman.

    Partick Thistle 0-0 Queen's Park

A bright start to the second half from the hosts.

It's lovely play from Brian Graham, who takes the ball with his back to goal and flicks it in behind for Scott Tiffoney.

The Thistle number seven looks to be in on goal, but Marcel Oakley scrambles back goal-side to clear.

  11. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

We are back under way at Firhill.

A few more shots would be nice, and maybe even a goal or two.

    Leanne Crichton
    Ex-Scotland international on BBC Sportscene

Thistle have been a bit too narrow and a bit too easy to defend against.

Queen's Park have had their moments but have lacked quality in the final third.

  13. 'A hint of nervousness'published at 20:41 British Summer Time 7 April 2023

HT: Partick Thistle 0-0 Queen's Park

    Richard Foster
Former Rangers defender on BBC Sportscene

Sometimes you get a lack of quality, but because there's so much riding on the game, I think there probably is a hint of nervousness.

Both sides will be happy that it's still 0-0 and will know that they can play better in the second half.

That was fairly dull, in truth.

Who will be happier? Probably Dundee and Ayr United… Greenock Morton, too.

As ever, an unbelievably tense night in the Championship.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 7 April 2023

    Partick Thistle 0-0 Queen's Park

I won't ever be watching that first half back, with these two title challengers cancelling each other out

Still, things can only get better.

  16. CLOSE!published at 40 mins

    Partick Thistle 0-0 Queen's Park

The best move of the game creates the first clear-cut chance of the contest.

Kyle Turner gets his head up and plays a beautiful slide-rule pass in behind Thomas Robson and releases Steven Lawless, but the Thistle midfielder's cross is just too far in front of Scott Tiffoney, who can only prod wide on the stretch.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 38 mins

    Partick Thistle 0-0 Queen's Park

Grant Savoury is absolutely clattered by Ross Docherty and the Thistle captain picks up the first yellow card of the night.

Can Dom Thomas find the right delivery?

  19. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Partick Thistle 0-0 Queen's Park

Floated in and that's easy for visiting goalkeeper Calum Ferrie to come and claim.

In games as tight and cagey as this, set-piece delivery needs to be on the money - that will disappoint manager Kris Doolan.

    Partick Thistle 0-0 Queen's Park

Down the other end, Scott Tiffoney does superbly to draw in Marcel Oakley before nicking the ball away from the Queen's Park full-back.

    It's a free-kick in a good area...
