Having looked out of this game 15 minutes ago, Everton are the width of a post away from an equaliser.

After Agnes Beever-Jones' shot was blocked, Katja Snoeijs swivelled to shoot but the ball comes back off the woodwork.

Manchester United are pushing for a second but Arsenal are doing enough to keep it at one for now.

The hosts will not be writing Arsenal off, though, Jonas Eidevall's side were 1-0 down and distinctly second best against Manchester City in their last league game but rallied to win 2-1.

Marc Skinner has given Nikita Parris a lot of confidence, she is a player that has come into form in this Man Utd team.

She lost a lot of confidence at Arsenal last season, got the move to Manchester and didn't really play at the beginning of the season.

Now she has started to play, to perform and to deliver. The goal was a prime example of her helping her teammates.

The ball breaks to her inside the box and she tries to beat Manuela Zinsberger at her near post. Strong hand by the Arsenal keeper to keep it out.

Arsenal then break and the ball comes to Stina Blackstenius but her effort dribbles into the side netting. Lively start to this second half!

Double change for Arsenal at the break. Jen Beattie and the fit-again Steph Catley replace Laura Wienroither and Kathrine Kuhl.

Despite those changes for Everton, they are yet to muster a shot so far in the second half.

Brighton are looking pretty comfortable.

It seemed like [in the first half] the teams were just trying to suss each other out.

Man Utd's back line looked nervous to make a mistake - that could be off the back of the Brighton game, Millie Turner's mikstake, Mary Earps as well.

We barely even mentioned Ella Toone's name in that first half, or Nikita Parris after a few early forays down the right hand side.

But when it came to needing composure and quality, it was two Lionesses, Nikita Parris and Alessia Russo who delivered.

A different team talk ahead for Man Utd and particularly [Arsenal boss] Jonas Eidevall.

A brief delay in Crawley due to a technology failure for the referee but it looks like they're ready to get started again now.

Everton needed some drastic to turn this one around and made a triple change at the break, Agnes Beever-Jones, Elise Stenevik and Karen Holmgaard are on.

The first real bit of quality in the match and the hosts take the lead. Nikita Parris sprinted away down the right wing and her pull-back was expertly finished by Alessia Russo.

And that's the first half. United's goal came from their only attempt on goal, but Mary Earps in the home goal was only called into action once, in the 44th minute, dealing with Frida Maanum's low cross / shot.

United heading four points clear as it stands and, with England captain Leah Williamson going off with what looked a serious injury, it has been a horrible first half for the Gunners. The hosts lead at the break.

That was absolutely textbook off the training ground.

The full back slides the ball through to Nikita Parris, who cuts the ball back to Alessia Russo on the penalty spot to put the ball in the back of the net.

That's a really well worked goal.

The last kick of the first half! A huge goal for United but such a blow for Arsenal, who have already seen Leah Williamson go off injured.

It had to be Alessia Russo, didn't it? Subject to a world-record bid from Arsenal in January, United turned it down and now she's scored a goal that really boosts their title bid.
