Steven Fletcher, as you can probably tell by the frequency with which he's being mentioned already, is again involved in the Motherwell box.

He tries to get on the end of a whipped ball and claims he was halted by the Motherwell defender.

The referee isn't interested and doesn't entertain his penalty shouts.

Very tidy opening 10 minutes from Dundee United, dominating the ball and looking very solid in their 4-1-4-1 formation.

Good-sized travelling support, around 1400 or so, are literally and metaphorically banging the drum for their side and enjoying what they've seen so far.

I'm not sure if it's the result from Easter Road (depriving them of any chance of a top-six finish) or whether it's just the lively start from their opponents, but Motherwell haven't got going so far. Early doors mind.

Best chance for St Johnstone. Jamie Murphy jinks away from Jason Holt and dinks a superb cross in, but fellow forward Connor McLennan can only plant his header straight at goalkeeper Shamal George.

Just about everyone inside Ibrox assumed James Tavernier would convert that spot kick and this would likely turn into a long afternoon for the visitors.

I spoke to Callum Davidson pre-match about shifting to a back four and he admitted it's a system he doesn't hate, but one that doesn't necessarily bring out the best in his players. Injuries have forced him into the four today.

And, so far, not so good. Livingston have started very well and are clearly targeting that right-back area where Drey Wright is positioned.

Only eight minutes in and Livi have had three opportunities from that spot.

United have started the game on the front foot, but no chances have been fashioned by either side yet.
