He again drives at the Cove defence then feeds Zach Robinson, whose touch inside is too heavy and the ball is away.

Judging by their game plan, Cove will be happy with the way this is going so far you'd imagine.

The big home crowd are relatively quiet, as is the hosts' attacking play.

Two tame shouts for penalties from the home crowd as Lyall Cameron is firstly tugged in the box before Zach Robinson and Alex Jakubiak get in the way of each other.

Not enough in either by the looks of it.

First booking of the night and it's for Cove defender Morgyn Neill, who trips Zach Robinson on halfway after a nice turn by the striker.

There’s a nervousness in the stands. The fans want a goal to settle things down.

That said, they’re fairly vocal in telling Cove goalkeeper - and former Dee - Scott Fox to get a move on.

The home fans thought that was in. Same, to be honest.

Lee Ashcroft is up highest at the back post, but his header loops onto the roof of the net.

So close.

Cove have their first effort, but it's one to forget as Jackson Longridge's snapshot is well off target.

Luke Hannant again the architect as he picks out Luke McCowan over the top with a fine ball.

But the Dundee winger can't get it under control.

Dundee still looking the more likely as a corner comes in from Luke Hannant.

Cove deal with it at the front post, though.

Healthy crowd packed inside Dens tonight, although I’m not too sure if there are as many as 8,500, which was the number being floated pre-match.

Many jumped up there as it appeared Zach Robinson had a tap-in. Until the next chance, I’ll get counting the heads…

Dundee 0-0 Cove Rangers

Break in play and a bit of concern for Luke Hannant after a head knock with his own player Ryan Sweeney.

After checks from the Dundee physios he seems fine to continue.
